Sophomore Jack Shea was Northern Arizona’s seventh man Saturday morning as the No. 1-ranked Lumberjacks won the team title at the John McNichols Invitational at Indiana State.
Shea, a Cherokee graduate, ran 25:12.1 over 8,000 meters at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute as Northern Arizona outscored No. 7 Stanford 31-51.
He finished 33rd overall out of 269 runners.
Northern is ranked No. 1 in NCAA Division 1 in the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll for the 23rd week in a row.
