Deptford, Camden both run 1:27-point, leading parade of smoking hot 4-by-2 races at Woodbury!!!!!!!!

A series of hot 800-meter relays at Woodbury Saturday produced three of the 24-fastest times in South Jersey history, eight schools under 1:30 and six of the nine-fastest times in New Jersey this year.

Deptford led the way, with freshman Liam Brown, senior Kareem Brown, junior Xavion Holmes and senior Johann Hernandez winning the Group 3 race in 1:27.47, 10th-fastest in South Jersey history and No. 2 in Gloucester County history, behind Delsea’s 1:27.19 from East Brunswick in 2024. Deptford took down the Group 3 meet record of 1:28.35 set in 2014 by Timber Creek.

Camden, with seniors Jawan Brownlee, Christian Braxton, Giovanni Marshall-Edwards and Jaiden Steele was 2nd-fastest with a 1:27.74 to win the Group 1 race, 16th-fastest in South Jeraey history and Camden’s fastest in 22 years, since the Panthers ran 1:24.90 in Raleigh, N.C., in 2004. Camden broke the Group 1 meet record of 1:30.0 set by Glassboro in 2009.

Timber Creek ran a school-record 1:28.14 with freshman Amare Gordon, sophomore Najee Stanback, junior Timothy Whitaker and senior Justice Avery placing 2nd in Group 3 behind Deptford. That’s No. 25 in South Jersey history.

Overbrook juniors Jaiden Mitchell, Andrew Powell, Axcel Bailey and John Froelich ran a school-record 1:29.04 to win the Group 2 race.

Winslow ran 1:29.07 and placed 3rd in Group 3 with junior Ka’Ron Ceasar, senior Quayd Hendryx, freshman Keyon Alli and senior Mahjae Torres. It was Hendryx’s first race for Winslow after he won the state Group 3 title for Burlington Township last spring. Winslow ran slightly faster – 1:28.82 – last weekend at Deptford.

Rancocas Valley was next-fastest, with junior Jor-el Santiago and seniors Julian Coppage-Seepersaud, Xavier Bancroft and Thomas Howard Jr. running 1:29.32 to win Group 4. That’s No. 13 on the all-time Burlington County list.

Pleasantville was 2nd to Overbrook in Group 2, with junior Todd Watson, junior Semaj Dozier, senior Qwasim Jackson and junior Raliel Wiggins running 1:29.53.

And Egg Harbor also dipped under 1:30, with senior Tyler Bernisky, senior Ari Bell, sophomore Derrick Doughty and junior Xavier Aucule running 1:29.69 for 2nd to R.V. in Group 4.

Williamstown [1:30.01], Penns Grove [1:30.23] and Willingboro [1:30.98] also broke 1:31 in their races.

On the updated 2026 New Jersey list, Deptford, Camden, Timber Creek, Winslow, Eastern [1:28.84 at Deptford], Overbrook, Rancocas Valley, Pleasantville, Egg Harbor and Burlington Township [1:29.72 at Don Danser Invitatiojnal] are ranked 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 11th and 12th.

HANNAH NUHFER OBLITERATES HER OWN SOUTH JERSEY DISCUS RECORD WITH #19 THROW IN U.S. PREP HISTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Delsea senior Hannah Nuhfer, the 2024 U.S. scholastic discus champion, smashed her own South Jersey record Saturday at the Woodbury Relays with the No. 19 throw in U.S. scholastic history.

Nuhfer won the discus at Woodbury with a 179-6 bomb on her 6th and final throw. That broke her own South Jersey record of 178-9 that she threw at Franklin Field in June.

Her throw is 2nd-best in New Jersey history, only 2 ½ feet shy of the state record of 182-0 that Alyssa Wilson of Donovan Catholic threw at the 2017 Rowan Open in Glassboro.

So the two-best discus throws in state history were thrown in Gloucester County. The 3rd-best, Jocyln White’s 172-2 in 2004, occurred in Egg Harbor Township.

Nuhfer opened with a modest 129-3 before a couple 160-foot throws – 162-10 and 167-2. After a foul and a 136-5 she hit the big one on her final attempt.

She broke the meet record of 149-11 set in 2012 by Cherokee’s Jessica Woodard, a world championship shot put finalist in 2022.

Nuhfer’s throw is No. 2 in the U.S. so far this year, according to the MileSplit national database. It’s No. 26 among all U.S. women. Nuhfer’s birthday is not on her World Athletics profile, but unless she turns 20 in 2026 she’s eligible to compete the U.S. Under-20 National Championships this summer in Eugene. The 2026 Under-20 lists on the World Athletics web site have not been updated.

Eastern’s Jaila Ash runs 5th-fastest 100-meter hurdles time in Iowa history!!!!!!!!

Iowa junior Jailya Ash equalled her hurdles PR Saturday when she won the 100-meter highs at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational at Percy Beard Track at the University of Florida in Gainesville.

Ash ran 13.29 with a legal wind of 0.0, 3rd-fastest this year in the Big Ten Conference and fastest by an underclassman.

Ash equalled her PR set when she competed for U.Conn at a home meet in Storrs in March 2024. That stands as U.Conn’s school record.

Ash’s 13.29 is 5th-fastest ever recorded by a South Jersey woman. It’s No. 32 among U.S. women this spring.

It’s also No. 5 all-time all-time at Iowa and fastest since Winslow’s Tionna Tobias ran 13.11 at 2023 NCAA West Prelims in Sacramento.

This was only Ash’s 2nd 100-meter hurdles race since she transferred from Connecticut to Iowa.

LINDENWOLD’S EGYPT BOLAN SMASHES WOODBURY RELAYS HIGH JUMP RECORD WITH #9 JUMP IN U.S. THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!

Lindenwold senior Egypt Bolan, the national high jump champion last spring, recorded the 2nd-highets clearance of her life Saturday and shattered a 14-year-old meet record in the process.

Bolan cleared 5-10 ¼ on her 1st attempt, breaking the meet record of 5-10 set at the 2012 meet by West Deptford’s Megan Kirschling.

When Bolan cleared 5-10 ¾ at Franklin Field in June, she broke Kirschling’s South Jersey record of 5-10 ½ at the 2012 Group 2 meet at South Plainfield.

Bolan was clean at 5-2, 5-4, 5-6, 5-8 and 5-10 and didn’t have any misses until she jumped at what would have been a PR 5-11, a height cleared by only two New Jersey jumpers. Tatiana Smolin of Randolph cleared 5-11 at the 1983 TAC Junior Championships in State College and that stood as the state record for 34 years, until Jenna Rogers of Ridgewood cleared 6-0 ¾ at 2017 Greensboro Nationals.

Bolan is No. 9 nationally, according to the MileSplit national database. She’ll compete Thursday morning at the 130th Penn Relays at Franklin Field, site of her national title 10 months ago.

A look at how the Audubon, Willingboro, Winslow, Pennsauken and Kingsway girls won team titles at Woodbury!!!!!!!!

The Audubon, Willlingboro and Winslow Township girls won Woodbury Relays team titles Saturday, and Pennsauken and Kingsway tied in Group 4.

Here’s a look at how those schools came out on top at the 52nd running of the Woodbury Relays.

Group 1
Audubon outscored Salem 54-30, with Haddon Township 3rd with 28.

Audubon won the sprint medley in 4:09.67 with junior Sophia Rizzo, junior Kathryn McGuire, senior Kylie Tocco and senior Riley Fayer. Fayer also anchored the winning distance medley, which ran 12:28.78. Freshman Emma Camm led off, junior Ava Lebb ran the 400 and junior Isabella Legatie ran the 800. Audubon won the shuttle hurdles in 1:12.32 with senior Julianna Laxton, senior Micayla Cary, freshman Sabrina Passon and senior Marissa DeValerio.

Salem got wins in the 4-by-1 and 4-by-2, with sophomore Raniyah Parsons-Smith, sophomore Amaia Massengill, freshman Dynastie Tucker and senior Anyzha Williams running on both and crossing the line in 49.57 and 1:44.57.

Haddon Township picked up a win in the 4-by-4, with freshman Sydney Warne, junior Abby Wiedeman, junior Biz Maher and junior Reagan Maher running 4:09.91.

Group 2
Willingboro won the team title 47-31 over West Deptford, with Sterling [28] and Paul VI [24] also in contention.

Willingboro won the 4-by-1 in 49:26, the 4-by-2 in 1:45.32 and the 4-by-4 in 4:08.16. Freshman Erin Scott and junior Jade Pinder ran on all three winning relay teams. Junior Trinity Brapoh ran on the 4-by-1 and 4-by-4, senior Jaden Murry ran on the 4-by-2 and 4-by-4 and senior Ireale Holloway ran on the 4-by-1 and 4-by-2.

West Deptford was 1st in the 4-by-8 with senior Elizabeth Derasmo, freshman Makayla Roomet, senior Kayla Romanoski and junior Taylor Szierzega running 10:32.41 and 1st in the sprint medley with freshman Devyn Hightower, freshman Annegabrielle Alexis, sophomore Melena Moore and Romanoski running 4:20.30.

Paul VI picked up a win in the DMR with junior Kara Salamone, freshman Jenny Cosnerr, sophomore Payton Blake and sophomore Morgan Kuzma running 13:03.71.

And Sterling won the shuttle hurdles with junior Shierra Atkins, senior Jordan Frazier, senior Jordyn Spearman and senior Eliyah Smith clocking 1:13.86.

Group 3
Winslow piled up 66 out of a possible 70 points and rolled to the team title over Mainland [46] and Ocean City [36].

Sophomore Amariah Arango, junior Cinniya Robinson and sophomore Jasmine Jackson were all triple winners, Arango in the 4-by-1, 4-by-8 and sprint medley and Robinson and Jackson both in the 4-by-1, sprint medley and shuttle hurdles.

Winslow double winners were senior Olivia Okaro and juniors Jordyn Cato and Skyhe Seamon. Okaro ran on the 4-by-1 and sprint medley and Cato and Seamon on the 4-by-2 and 4-by-4.

Also for Winslow, sophomores Adaiah Arango, Julisa Derry and Annabella Cassidy all ran on the 4-by-8, junior Amaya Jones ran a leg on the 4-by-2, sophomore Nylah Lovelace Crump was on the winning 4-by-4, senior Leeya Joseph ran on the 4-by-2, and seniors Ma’Syiah Brawner and Justice Green were on the shuttle hurdles team.

Group 4
Pennsauken and Kingsway wound up tied at 46 in Group 4.

I wrote earlier about Pennsauken’s historic 4-by-1 [https://sjtrackblog.com/2026/04/18/pennsauken-girls-shatter-2nd-south-jersey-record-in-90-minutes-as-4×1-mark-goes-down/], 4-by-2 [https://sjtrackblog.com/2026/04/18/pennsauken-girls-destroy-south-jersey-800-meter-relay-record-with-fastest-time-ever-by-new-jersey-public-school/] and 4-by-4 [https://sjtrackblog.com/2026/04/18/pennsauken-girls-cap-greatest-day-of-sprinting-in-new-jersey-history-with-6th-fastest-4×4-in-s-j-history/].

Williamstown won the 4-by-8 with junior Chanelle Briscoe, sophomore Yazmire Bonhomme, senior Sophia Aldridge and junior Tristan Hughes running 9:46.92.

Eastern ran 4:08.28 to win the sprint medley, with senior Knoelle Whittle, freshman TrinityWilliams, senior Natalie Dumas and sophomore Megan Sacavitch. Dumas is listed as a 200 leg, but considering the 800 split is 2:11.47 I’m guessing she ran the 800.

Eastern also won the DMR in 12:48.18 with junior Theresa Albertson, Williams, sophomore Riya Parikh and Dumas anchoring with a 5:06.46 split.

Kingsway ran 1:04.19 to win the shuttles with a lineup of junior Norah Brown, senior Lariah Miles, junior Kenya Nobles and freshman Kelly Farrell.

Pennsauken girls cap greatest day of sprinting in New Jersey history with 6th-fastest 4×4 in S.J. history!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After shattering South Jersey records in the 400- and 800-meter relays, Sianni Wynn and the Pennsauken girls ran the 6th-fastest 4-by-4 in South Jersey history Saturday at the Woodbury Relays.

How about 45.93, 1:36.63 and 3:44.97?

Safe to call it the greatest day of sprinting in New Jersey girls track history. No other school has ever run as fast in the 4-by-1, 4-by-2 and 4-by-4 on the same day and only one other school – a catholic school based in Scotch Plains – has run that fast in school history.

Pennsauken finished the triple record-setting performance by winning the 1,600-meter relay with Summer Schaefer leading off in 57.38, Wynn splitting 53.45, then Olivia Dupree running 58.36 and Hope Edwards anchoring in 55.80.

They broke the Group 4 and overall meet record of 3:48.24 set by Columbia in 2013.

Pennsauken’s time is 16th-fastest in state history. Pennsauken is the 2nd school in state history to run as fast as 45.93, 1:36.63 and 3:44.97 at any point in school history and the first to do it in the same meet.

Winslow girls run 6th-fastest sprint medley in South Jersey history at Woodbury!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Winslow girls ran the 6th-fastest sprint medley in South Jersey history at Woodbury Saturday, winning the Group 3 race in a meet-record 4:01.75.

The previous Group 3 record was Wilson’s 4:08.64 in 2003 and the previous overall meet record was Columbia’s 4:05.84 in 2014.

Although the official results show Amariah Arango and Olivia Okaro running the 200s, Cinniya Robinson the 400 and Jasmine Jackson the 800, I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that Arango ran the 800. How the other legs were split up who knows? PENNSAUKEN GIRLS SHATTER 2ND SOUTH JERSEY RECORD IN 90 MINUTES AS 4X1 MARK GOES DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

An hour and a half after setting a South Jersey record in the 800-meter relay at the Woodbury Relays, the Pennsauken girls shattered the South Jersey 4-by-1 record.

Pennsauken’s time is No. 5 in state history and fastest by a New Jersey public school since Columbia ran 45.89 at 2010 at Greensboro Nationals.

Earlier Saturday, the same four girls ran 1:36.63 in the 4-by-2, 2nd-fastest in state history and fastest ever by a public school.

Pennsauken broke the Woodbury Relays overall and Group 4 record of 47.3 hand-timed set by Willingboro’s Pam Young, Carol Lewis, Monica Mayes and Michele Glover in 1981.

Josh Crawford’s blazing 1:51 anchor leads Woodstown to fastest 4×8 by New Jersey Group 1 in 43 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With a 1:51 anchor presumably by Josh Crawford, the Woodstown boys ran the fastest 4-by-8 by a New Jersey Group 1 school in 43 years Saturday with a sizzling win at the Woodbury Relays.

Karson Chew, Jacob Marino, Crawford, David Farrell and  Crawford ran 7:52.95 to win the Group 1 race and smash the Group 1 meet record of 8:06.1 hand-timed set in 1978 by Woodbury’s Don Bland, Bruce Washington, Keith Washington and Dick Caton over two miles, which converts to 8:03.28 for 3,200 meters.

Chew led off with a 1:57.02, Marino ran 2:02.63, Farrell 2:01.78 and Crawford 1:51.53.

Woodstown broke its own South Jersey Group 1 record of 7:54.34 from last year’s Meet of Champions at Pennsauken with Crawford, Chew, Marino and Cole Lucas.

Their 7:52.95 is fastest by a New Jersey Group 1 since Bernards ran 7:48.1 at the 1983 Penn Relays. Woodbury ran a converted 7:48.3 in 1977 with Caton anchoring but I have no clue where they ran that fast. Wasn’t at any of the obvious meets.

Glassboro also ran fast, placing 2nd in 7:56.44 with Aaron Johnson, Joseph Saicic, Zacchaeus Harrigan and Jaeden Wesley.

Sadly, Woodstown is unable to race at the Penn Relays and did not enter, even though they would have easily qualified and had a good chance to make the finals.
