The Winslow girls ran the 6th-fastest shuttle hurdles in state history and just missed the South Jersey record Saturday at the Woodbury Relays.
Senior Ma’Syiah Brawner, sophomore Jasmine Jackson, junior Cinniya Robinson and senior Justice Green ran 59.1, the fastest time by a South Jersey school in 27 years, since Edgewood – which became Winslow – ran 59.00 in 1999.
Edgewood, which became Winslow, ran that 59.00 at the 1999 East Coast Relays in Morristown with Yvette Murry, Pam Richardson, Denean Davis and Kierra Clemons. At the time it was the national record.
On Saturday, Winslow broke the Woodbury Relays overall and Group 3 meet record of 1:01.82 set by the 2012 Winslow girls.
Union Catholic is the only New Jersey school other than Edgewood to run faster than Winslow.
