Massive discus PR Saturday morning for Woodstown senior Aidan Taulane at the Woodbury Relays.
Taulane threw the platter 164-7 on his 1st attempt of the day, a PR of nearly 20 feet. His previous best was a 145-7 last weekend at the West Deptford Relays. His best last year was 132-5, so he’s PR’d by more than 30 feet in the last month.
Taulane’s throw is No. 5 in Salem County history and a Woodstown school record. The previous mark was a 154-9 by Jon Jones at the 2011 Woodbury Relays.
Taulane’s throw is No. 3 in New Jersey so far this year, behind a 168-1 by Montville’s Anthony Agnoli in Madison and a 167-2 by Jacob Humphrey of Toms River East in Bayville, both last week.
Highland Zion Josia Brockenbrough also surpassed the 160-foot plateau, placing 2nd with a 162-7 on his 2ndthrow. He PR’d by a few inches over his 162-4 from the West Deptford Relays last weekend.
