An hour and a half after setting a South Jersey record in the 800-meter relay at the Woodbury Relays, the Pennsauken girls shattered the South Jersey 4-by-1 record.
Summer Schaeffer, Sanaya Dupree, Olivia Dupree and Sianni Wynn ran 45.93, breaking the South Jersey record of 46.19 set in 2024 at South Jersey Group 3 Sectionals at Delsea.
Pennsauken’s time is No. 5 in state history and fastest by a New Jersey public school since Columbia ran 45.89 at 2010 at Greensboro Nationals.
Earlier Saturday, the same four girls ran 1:36.63 in the 4-by-2, 2nd-fastest in state history and fastest ever by a public school.
Pennsauken broke the Woodbury Relays overall and Group 4 record of 47.3 hand-timed set by Willingboro’s Pam Young, Carol Lewis, Monica Mayes and Michele Glover in 1981.
