Haddonfield graduate Marielle Hall easily won the USATF 15K title Saturday morning in Jacksonville.
Hall ran 48:52 for the 9.3-mile course at the Gate River Run, beating second-place Natosha Rogers by about 250 meters. Rogers was second in 49:50.
According to the IAAF all-time performance list, Hall’s time is No. 11 ever by a U.S. woman on a certified 15,000-meter road course and third-fastest since 2004 behind only Shalene Flanagan’s U.S. record of 47:00 in 2014 and Jordan Hasay’s 48:40 in 2018.
It’s also No. 10 in the world this year.
Hall, who grew up in Mount Laurel, is No. 5 in U.S. history in the 5,000 at 15:06.05 and No. 6 in the 10,000 at 31:05.71.
Rancocas Valley graduate Erika Kemp, the defending champ, placed fifth in 50:27, giving South Jersey two of the top five finishers.
