Haddon Township graduate Jake Dinerman ran what appears to be a mile PR of 4:08.49 Saturday at the David Hemery Valentine Invite at Boston University.
Dinerman split 61.8, 62.6, 62.4 and 61.6.
He ran in the sixth of 24 sections and finished 67th overall in an event that saw 10 runners break 4:00, 25 more break 4:05 and a total of 76 under 4:10.
It looks like Dinerman’s previous PR was a 4:08.84 at the same meet last year, but it’s tough to tell since he’s running for a club team and not a college and nobody seems to keep track of these things.
It also looks like this was Dinerman’s first race since he ran 3:52.79 for 1,500 meters at Swarthmore back in May.
At Haddon Township, Dinerman ran 4:20.31 for 1,600 meters outdoors but never ran an indoor 1,600.
Dinerman ran only one year of college track, the 2017 indoor and outdoor seasons at The College of New Jersey, and had PRs of 1:55.73 for 800 meters and 4:22.20 for the mile, with the mile PR coming three years ago at the David Hemery Valentine Invite on the same track.
Dinerman’s affiliation is listed in the David Hemery Valentine results as Moody Park Track Club.
