Kutztown teammates senior Stanley Green from Holy Cross and freshman Trey Henry of Egg Harbor Township opened the indoor season with strong sprint performances Saturday at the Lehigh Fast Times Before Finals Invite.
Green and Henry placed 2nd and 3rd in the 60-meter dash, Green in 7.02 and Henry in 7.08. Henry went into the final with only the 6th-fastest qualifying time at 7.17. Green ran 7.05 in the trials. Zachary DeLone of Lehigh won the final in 6.99.
Henry moved into the No. 7 spot on the all-time Kutztown performance list in the 60-meter dash at 7.08, but he’s only 6-100ths of a second out of the No. 4 spot. Green is already No. 2 in school history with his 6.93 from the PSAC Championships at Edinboro last year.
Kareef Wallace set the school record of 6.92 in 2005.
Green also placed 4th in the long jump with a 21-8. His wind-legal long jump PR is 22-5 1/2 from a home meet this past February. He has a wind-aided 22-10 from last year’s outdoor PSAC meet.
