West Deptford senior Lane McClintock edge Woodbury junior Elijah Smith by 20 meters and finished 1st among 59 runners Tuesday in a five-team Colonial Conference batch meet at West Deptford Park.
McClintock ran 18:00 and Smith was just behind in 18:05.
Paulsboro senior Jeffrey Taylor took 3rd in 18:23 followed by four Haddon Township rumnners – junior Nick Bernardo [18:31], sophomore Kieran Adams [18:40], sophomore Simon Pierwola [18:40] and junior James Strimel [18:41].
Also in the top 10: West Deptford freshman Emerson Lewis [18:58], Haddon Township sophomore Bryce Davis [19:24] and Haddon Township sophomore Evan Comber [19:28].
Haddon Township followed by West Deptford 31-48, with Woodbury [72] and Paulsboro [86]. Lindenwold also raced.
Haddon Township swept the girls race, with seniors Tanner Lajoie [21:54] and Biz Maher [22:37] and junior Isabella Dodd [22:38] taking the top three spots. Haddon Township scored 15 team points for the team title.
Paulsboro sophomore Aaliyah Ward [4th in 23:19], West Deptford senior Taylor Sierzega [5th in 24:56], Haddon Township senior Reagan Maher [6th in 25:20], Haddon Township senior Chloe Lajoie [7th in 25:20], Haddon Township junior Summer Starnes [8th in 25:59], Haddon Township sophomore Emma Sickler [9th in 26:00] and Paulsboro senior Aleisha Santiago [10th in 26:15] also placed in the top 10.
