As we do every fall when Shore Coaches rolls around, we’ll post a bunch of Holmdel County Park all-time performance lists over the next few days. We start with the top all-time single-team lists, beginning with the girls.
Now, these lists are tricky because every time someone runs fast, you’re not only bumping them onto one list, you’re taking someone off that list and putting them on the next one down. Which means you’re taking someone off that list as well and moving them. It’s a lot of moving pieces and mistakes are easy to make. Then you’ve got to change all the composite times when you make a change. It’s a lot!
Nonetheless, here’s my best attempt at an all-time South Jersey girls composite list, which not surprisingly starts with Haddonfield, Cherokee and Ocean City, the three most successful and consistent girls programs in South Jersey.
As always if you see mistakes, let me know (politely) in the comment section. I’ll post the boys list later today and tomorrow I’ll have the top single-race times and Saturday morning the all-time South Jersey Holmdel individual performance lists!
