Incredible 1-2 finish for Deptford and Egg Harbor in the shuttle hurdles at West Philly Nationals Sunday morning at Franklin Field.

Deptford won in 58.42, and Egg Harbor, racing in the previous section, placed 2^nd in 58.91. They were the only schools under 59 seconds in the first event on Day 4 of the meet.

For Deptford, senior Kareem Brown, junior Xavion Holmes, senior Kamaldeep Singh and senior Larry Norman ran 58.42, 6^th-fastest in South Jersey history and fastest in 23 years, since Winslow ran 57.70 at the 2003 Willingboro Relays with Robert Penn, Brandon Bates, Kenny Scott and and Reuben McCoy,

Deptford broke the Gloucester County record of 59.82 set by Washington Township last year at the Randolph Relays with Nico DiGiacomo, Idris Fisher, Joseph McAndrews and Zachary Kotel.

Holmes and Kareem Brown also ran on Deptford’s 4^th-place 800-meter relay team, and Brown was 5^th in the intermediates, so Brown is now a triple All-America and Holmes is a double All-America.

For Egg Harbor, junior Taj Jackson, junior Xavier Aucule, sophomore Sebastian Antonius and senior Ari Bell ran the 12^th-fastest time in South Jersey history and fastest by an Atlantic County school since Oakcrest ran 58.54 at the 2012 Carl Lewis Invitational in Willingboro with Syid Evans White, Chase Toliver, Aaron Wilson and Stephen Adkisson.

North Brunswick placed 3^rd in 59.00, giving New Jersey a 1-2-3 finish.
