Winslow senior Ma’Syiah Brawner and Williamstown junior Timia Waters both earned All-America honors in the triple jump Saturday at West Philly Nationals at Franklin Field.

Brawner jumped 41-1 ¾ with an assisting wind of 2.7 meters per second. She also had a wind-aided 40-7 ½ and a legal 39-3. Brawner has a lifetime best of 40-6 ¼ with a legal 0.8 wind at 2024 West Philly Nationals. That’s No. 15 in state history, No. 4 in South Jersey history and a Camden County record.

Waters jumped a lifetime-best 40-3 ¼ with a legal 0.1 tailwind, her first 40-foot jump. Waters, whose previous PR was 39-6 when she won the state Group 4 title last month in Somerset, broke the Gloucester County record of 39-7 ½ set at the 2012 state Group 1 meet at Old Bridge by Glassboro’s Zenee Gadson.

Brawner hit 40-7 ½ on her first jump with a 2.3 wind, then had a legal 39-3 and a foul before popping the 41-1 ¾. She fouled on her two final jumps.

Waters opened with her PR 40-3 ¼ and after a foul jumped 37-3 ¾, 38-7, 39-6 ¾ and 38-8 ¼.
