Holy Cross senior Julia Flanagan ran the 14th-fastest 3,200 in South Jersey history Monday night at the Holmdel Twilight Series Night of 3200s.
Flanagan ran 10:33.44 and placed 2nd among girls, behind only West Windsor-Plainsboro North’s Allison Lee, who set a state outdoor record of 9:46.78.
Flanagan’s previous outdoor PR was 10:52.74 from her win at the state Parochial B meet in May in Galloway Township.
Flanagan has run slightly faster indoors with a 10:29.07 at the Meet of Champions at Ocean Breeze in March. That’s 4th-fastest in South Jersey history indoors and No. 16 in state history.
