Winslow girls run 2nd-fastest 4×4 in U.S. this year at Millrose Trials, Willingboro girls also qualify!!!!!!

The Winslow Township girls ran the 2nd-fastest 1,600-meter relay in the U.S. this year Wednesday at the Millrose Games Trials at the Armory.

The Eagles qualified for the scholastic 1,600-meter relay championship at the 117th annual Millrose Gamees back at the Armory on Feb. 8 with a blazing time of 3:50.90.

Although the results list five names, presumably the lineup was freshman Jasmine Jackson, junior Olivia Okaro, sophomore Skyhe Seamon and sophomore Cinniya Robinson. Freshman Amariah Arango is also listed in the results. If she actually ran hopefully someone involved with the Winslow program can let us know.

If Jackson to Okaro to Seamon to Robinson is correct, Jackson led off in 58.22, Okaro split 57.76, Seamon ran 57.03 and Robinson anchored in 57.90.

Winslow’s time is 6th-fastest in South Jersey history and No. 17 on the all-time New Jersey indoor list.

The only faster time by a U.S. high school this year was recorded by an all-star program based in Potomac, Md.

Lawrenceville was 2nd with a 3:55.96 and Willingboro 3rd with a season-best 4:00.13.

It appears that Willingboro also qualified for Millrose. According to the results, “Winner of Each Division (East & West of Hudson & NJ) Qualify Next 3 Fastest Times Also Qualify.”

Guys, punctuation helps sometimes, but if the three-fastest non-winners from all the various girls 4-by-400s qualify, then Lawrenceville and Willingboro would both go as the 2nd- and 3rd-fastest non-winning teams.

The first four names listed for Willingboro are junior Kaila Speight, sophomore Jade Pinder, sophomore Maya Bolden and senior Nester Wea, with junior Aaliyah Robinson and sophomore Trinity Brapoh also listed.

If Speight to Pinder to Bolden to Wea is correct, Speight led off in 58.68, Pinder ran 61.83, Bolden split 61.25 and Wea anchored in 58.39.

Where has Timber Creek Been? Their relay group has been pretty quiet or do you not report on them any longer? I know that little one killed it at the Ocean Breeze Freedom Games this weekend, with a dynamic first place double Breaking the meet record and running the NJ#1 time, Mile Split has been all over her but y’all didn’t report that. Strange…. Oh well Congrats Winslow girls!
