Timber Creek junior Ryan Jennings ran the 10th-fastest 200 in state history Thursday night at the South Jersey Elite at Delsea.

Jennings led a 1-2 Timber Creek finish with senior Naylah Jones, Jennings winning in 23.86 and Jones running 24.11 for 2nd place. The race was run into a legal 0.3 headwind.

Jennings’ 23.86 is 4th-fastest in South Jersey history, and fastest since Wilson’s Dennisha Page ran 23.66 to win the 2019 Meet of Champions at Northern Burlington. Jones’ 24.11 is No. 9 in South Jersey history.

Jennings’ previous PR was 21.47 indoors at Ocean Breeze, and her outdoor PR was a 24.63 at the state Group 3 meet on the same track last spring. Jones’ previous PR was a 24.15 indoors at Ocean Breeze and 24.22 outdoors at states.

Washington Township senior Dahlia Beasley and Kingsway junior Jonnelle Lewis also ran sub-25, Beasley 3rd in 24.84 and Lewis 4th with a lifetime-best 24.87. Her previous PR was a 25.50 at last year’s Gloucester County Championships at Deptford.
