The Rancocas Valley girls became the first South Jersey school under four minutes in the 4-by-4 Saturday afternoon at the Blue Devil Relays in Westfield.
Sophomore Aniya Wilkins, junior Leah Howe, sophomore Cecilia King and senior Kasey White ran 3:59.67, holding off 2nd-place Elizabeth, which ran 4:01.47.
This is the 6th straight year R.V. has run sub-4 in the 1,600-meter relay (not counting the cancelled 2020 season). The Red Devils ran 3:57.03 in 2017, 3:50.36 in 2018, 3:48.87 in 2019, 3:57.32 in 2021 and 3:54.20 last spring.
Wilkins led off with a 61.2 split, with Howe splitting 59.2, King 59.9 and White anchoring in 58.8.
