Kingsway grad Kylie Anicic, a junior at Edinboro, ran a 6,000-meter PR Saturday in Illinois.
Anicic ran 21:09 and placed 2nd among nearly 200 runners at the Lewis Crossover at the Lewis Cross Country Course in Romeoville, Ill.
Anicic finished behind only NCAA Division 2 All-America Lindsay Cunningham of Winona (Minn.) State, a 16:06 5,000 runner on the track last year. Cunningham ran 20:50.
Anicic’s previous 6,000 PR was a 21:43 while competing for Towson (Md.) at the 2019 Colonial Athletic Conference Championships in at New Market (Va.) Battlefield.
Edinboro, ranked No. 5 in the NCAA Division 2 Atlantic Region, competes Oct. 22 at the Warrior Challenge at Willow Metropark in New Boston, Mich., outside Detroit.
