Rowan junior Jake Kolodziej from Washington Township won his first conference title Monday, and freshman teammate Tyler Greene placed 4th in the 800 with a PR.
Kolodziej ran 1:55.34 to win the New Jersey Athletic Conference 800 at The College of New Jersey in Ewing, and Greene ran 1:56.97.
Kolodziej was out in 57.41 and closed in 57.94 to overtake Ramapo freshman Matthew Cortez, who led with a lap to go.
Greene, racing in an unseeded heat, lowered his PR from 1:57.95, which he just ran two weeks ago on the same track. He came into the meet ranked 17th in the 800 in the NJAC and seeded 12th.
