Overall winner Seth Clevenger breaks 16 at Holmdel, leads Haddonfield to 12th Shore Coaches team title!!!!!

Overall winner Seth Clevenger blazed a sub-16 on the historic Holmdel County Park 5,000-meter course and led Haddonfield to the team title in Group E Saturday at the 51st annual Shore Coaches Invitational.

Clevenger ran 15:55 and all five Haddonfield scorers placed in the top 15, all running 17:31 or faster.

The team title is Haddonfield’s 12th at Shore Coaches.

Clevenger’s time equals the 5th-fastest ever by a Haddonfield runner at Holmdel and is fastest in 11 years.

Senior Tobias Janssen placed 5th in 17:04, junior Robert DiMedio 7th in 17:09, sophomore Mat Sullivan 13th in 17:28 and junior George Andrus 15th in 17:31. Sixth runner Junior Donald Jellig wasn’t far back, 25th in 18:06.

Haddonfield outscored long-time Group 2 rival Cinnaminson, 41-120. The Pirates had junior Alex Boyko [6th in 17:05] and junior Matt McCarron [19th in 17:49] in the top 20.

Clevenger outraced Voorhees senior Jack Tavaglione, finishing 25 meters ahead. Tavaglione was second in 16:01.

Camden Catholic senior Billy Clewell finished third in 16:49. Bishop Eustace senior Anthony Faust [9th in 17:11], Lower Cape May senior Zeb Hinker [12th in 17:22] and LCM junior Jack Cura [17th in 17:40] were also in the top 20.

Haddonfield also won 1978, 1989, 1995, 1998, 2000, 2001 2006, 2007, 2008, 2017 and 2018. All were in Group E except 1978 [C], 1989 [D] and 1998 [F].
