Senior Andre Faigal led four Rancocas Valley runners among the top seven finishers, and the Red Devils edged Bishop Eustace to win their own Ray Hoagland Invitational Saturday.
It’s R.V.’s first team title in the meet’s five-year history.
Faigal ran 16:57 over 5,000 meters at the R.V. Sports Complex in Eastampton. He finished about 125 meters ahead of Bishop Eustace senior Anthony Faust, who ran 17:25.
For the Red Devils, junior Ryan Smith ran 17:32 for 3rd, junior Dylan Selby ran 18:40 for 6th and senior Alex Pratt was 7th in 18:41.
Seniors Cade Delgado and Shane McGowan finished one place apart in 23rd and 24th for R.V., which finished with a 39-42 margin of victory over Eustace. There were eight full teams in the boys race.
Also in the top 10 were Delran senior Anthony Guarino [4th in 18:16], Eustace senior Ryan Carney [5th in 18:33], Eustace senior Sean Anderson [8th in 18:46], Moorestown junior Andrew Mercantini [9th in 18:49] and Eustace senior Daniel Colden [10th in 18:59].
