The Cherokee girls put five finishers in the top seven Saturday morning in a six-team Olympic Conference batch meet at DREAM Park in Logan Township.
Junior Nicole Clifford finished just ahead of Washington Township senior Maura Keane for the individual win.
Clifford, sophomore Kelsey Niglio, freshmen Kerry O’Day and Alaina Bromley and junior Noelle Falzone went 1-3-4-5-7 for what would have been 20 points in the non-scoring meet.
Clifford ran 20:03, Niglio 20:31, O’Day 20:32, Bromley 21:13 and Falzone 21:27. Freshmen Olivia Parkinson and Allison Rathman both ran 21:43 and made it seven Cherokee girls in the top 10.
Others in the top 10 were Camden Catholic soph Casey Bednarek, 6th in 21:27, and Washington Township sophomore Allyson Wernik, 8th in 21:31.
