Senior Janeya Hammond picked up two firsts and a third to lead the Winslow girls to their seventh indoor sectional title in the last 10 years.
Winslow outscored second-place Ocean City 70-40 in the South Jersey Group 3 meet at the Bennett Center in Toms River.
Hammond won the 55-meter dash in 7.29, PR’d to win the high hurdles in 8.56 and took third in the 400 in 58.84.
Junior Shevell Higgs, sophomore Jaia James, senior Nylah Perry and junior Olivia Wright each recorded second-place finishes, Higgs in the hurdles (PR 8.57), James in the 55 (7.42), Perry in the 400 (58.09) and Wright in the high jump (5-0).
Higgs was also fifth in the high jump at 4-10, and James and Wright ran legs on Winslow’s third-place 1,600-meter relay team.
Sophomore Charly Dutton took fifth in the 800 in 2:28.36 and also ran a leg on the 4-by-4.
Freshman Kamryn Holness joined James, Dutton and Wright on the 4-by-4, which ran 4:10.70 and took second to Pennsauken.
Winslow also won indoor sectional titles in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2018 and 2019. Only Haddonfield (9), Bernards (8) and Ridge (8) have won more since the inception of indoor sectionals in 2008.
