Willingboro’s Kenady Wilson moves into all-time South Jersey top-10 with high jump PR at New Balance Nationals!!!!!

Willingboro senior Kenady Wilson finished her terrific high school career with the best high jump mark by a Burlington County girl in 38 years.

Wilson cleared a personal-best 5-8 3/4 and placed 11th in the championship section of the high jump at the New Balance Nationals at Aggie Stadium in Greensboro, N.C.

That’s No. 8 in South Jersey history and No. 2 in Burlington County history, behind only Olympian Carol Lewis’s 5-9 mark in 1981.

Wilson entered competition at 5-3 and cleared 5-3 and 5-5 on her first attempt and 5-7 on her second attempt. She missed two tries at 5-8 3/4 before clearing it on her third try. The bar moved up to 5-10 1/2 – which only four girls in New Jersey history have cleared – and Wilson missed three tries.

Wilson, who had cleared 5-8 several times, moved into the all-time New Jersey top-30. Here’s a look at the all-time South Jersey top-10:
