Junior Martin Riddell and senior Greg Eisenhower placed second and third, both in 16:19, as Haddonfield raced against a loaded field Saturday at the Bowdoin XC Classic in Wappingers Falls, N.Y.
Devin Hart, the national two-mile champ from Point Pleasant Boro, ran 16:14 for the win, with Riddell and Eisenhower just behind.
La Salle Academy of Providence, R.I., went 4-5-6-9-10 to take the team title, but Haddonfield placed its five scorers in the top 22 and took second out of 26 schools.
La Salle finished with a 29-53 win over Haddonfield, the No. 2 team in New Jersey and No. 1 in South Jersey. La Salle and Haddonfield are ranked No. 4 and 5 in the Northeast.
Junior Stephen Kasko was Haddonfield’s third runner, 12th in 16:58, with senior Sean Campiglia and junior Andrew Gostovich 19th and 22nd in 17:14 and 17:20 on the 5,000-meter course at Bowdoin Park.
