Camden’s Lenaami Morton runs PR 14.04, #8 in S.J. history, to lead Meet of Champions hurdles qualifiers!!!!!

Camden senior Lenaami Morton lowered her PR from 14.08 to 14.04 in leading all qualifiers into the final of the 100-meter hurdles Saturday at the 39th annual Meet of Champions at Northern Burlington Regional High School in Mansfield.

Morton, who ran 14.08 in the prelims of last year’s Meet of Champions, is bidding to become the second Camden girl in three years to win the M-of-C high hurdles. Keisha Williams won it in 2015.

Morton is undefeated this year in the high hurdles.

Morton moved up from No. 11 to No. 8 in South Jersey history in the 100 highs, and she’s within 5-100ths of a second of becoming the eighth girl in South Jersey history to run sub-14 seconds.
