SIANNI WYNN OBLITERATES STATE RECORD IN 200-METER DASH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sianni Wynn shattered her own state record in the 200-meter dash Wednesday in West Philadelphia.

Wynn, a Pennsauken junior, ran 23.60 at the South Jersey Elite at the Ott Center at the University of Pennsylvania, breaking her state record of 23.79, which she ran on the same banked 200-meter track in December.

That 23.79 broke a 41-year-old state record of 23.87 set by Wendy Vereen at the 1984 The Athletic Congress Championships at Madison Square Garden.

Her time is 4th-fastest in the country this year, according to the MileSplit national database.

Wynn ran a wind-aided 23.34 outdoors last spring when she won the Meet of Champions on her home track. Her wind-legal outdoor PR is 23.79 from the state Group 4 meet in Somerset, so this was her fastest legal 200 indoors or out.

Her time is 14th-fastest this year among all U.S. women, according to the World Athletics database.

It’s also 11th-fastest on the all-time New Jersey indoor alumni list and No. 4 among South Jersey sprinters.

Eastern junior Natalie Dumas, following a personal-best 54.45 in the 400, ran a PR 24.41 for 2nd place behind Wynn.

Wynn also ran 6.83 unpressed to win the 55-meter dash. Her PR is 6.81 from last year’s Meet of Champions at Ocean Breeze, and that’s No. 3 in state history.

Natalie Dumas leads Eastern to first state relays title in school history!!!!!!

Junior Natalie Dumas anchored two winning relay teams and ran on two 2nd-place relays and the Eastern girls won their first state relays title Monday at the Bubble.

Eastern outscored 2nd-place Livingston 37-26 to win the state Group 4 relays title. Dumas anchored 1st-place sprint medley and 1,600-meter relay teams and ran legs on 2nd-place distance medley and 4-by-2 teams. The official esults show her anchoring both.

Sophomore Poetry Anderson, senior Johnna Gonter and freshman Ariana Felix joined Dumas on the sprint medley team, which ran 4:17.73, and senior Jasmine Davies, sophomore Theresa Albertson and junior l;Adriana Marella also ran on the 4-by-4, which ran 4:07.17

Albertson, senior Samantha Osei-Kyei and Marella joined Dumas on the DMR, which ran 12:38.48, and Gonter, Marella and Davies ran the first three 4-by-2 legs before Dumas’s anchor brought the Vikings home in 1:46.53.

Eastern also scored in the shuttle hurdles, with senior Zayanna Fitzpatrick, senior Basirah Corbett-Collier, junior Knoelle Whittle and senior Jean’ae Daniels running 35.19.

Eastern is the fourth South Jersey in the last six Group 4 relay meets to win the title. Millville won in 2019, Cherokee in 2022 and Washington Township last year. There was no meet in 2021.

Cherokee won the 3,200-meter relay in 9:57.24 with junior Madeline Meder, senior Megan Niglio, junior Sofia Recinto and freshman Erin Healy.

That’s No. 8 in New Jersey this year and No. 2 in South Jersey behind Karp’s 41-5 ½ at the Ott Center. Green is the first 40-footer ever from Rancocas Valley, and her 41-3 is No. 4 on the all-time Burlington County indoor list:

Delsea’s Nico Morales records 2nd-highest clearance ever by a South Jersey pole vaulter, #4 in Rutgers history!!!!!!

Delsea’s Nico Morales cleared a lifetime-best 17-2 ¾ in the pole vault Saturday at the Quaker Invitational at Ott Center, the 2nd-best clearance ever by a South Jersey vaulter.

Morales had just cleared 17 feet for the first time last weekend in Akron with a 17-1 ¾ clearance.

On Saturday, he was one of three Rutgers vaulters to PR and re-write the Rutgers record book.

Twins Brian and Kevin O’Sullivan both cleared a school-record 17-10 ½, matching the No. 2 clearance in New Jersey history. Bradley Jelmert of Watchung Hills and Arkansas State cleared 18-9 ¼ in December 2023 in Pittsburg, Kans.

The only superior vault by a South Jersey native is a 17-3 ½ by Cherry Hill East’s Noah Kriesman last spring in Columbia, S.C. Kriesman, like the O’Sullivan twins and Morales, competes for Rutgers. Kriesman’s best this year is a 16-8 in Akron last weekend. He cleared 15-11 Saturday.

Brian and Kevin O’Sullivan, Kriesman and Morales now rank 1st, 1st, 4th and tied for 5th on the all-time Rutgers list.

Morales passed through 15-11 Saturday, then cleared 16-4 3/4, 16-10 3/4 and 17-2 3/4, all on his second attempts, before missing three tries at a PR 17-6 1/2.

GLASSBORO HIGH’S DALLAS HOHNEY DOES IT AGAIN!!!!!! DESTROYS RIDER SCHOOL RECORD AT 500 METERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing Dallas Hohney, a week after a ridiculous 1:50.71 six-second 800 PR, shattered Rider’s 500 meter record at the Quaker Invitational at the Ott Center in West Philly.

Hohney, in only the 2nd 500 of his life, ran 1:01.74 and won by four meters over Princeton’s Karl Dietz, who was 2nd in 1:02.19.

Hohney broke the Rider record by more than a second. Darien Edwards out of St. Benedict’s in Newark, ran 1:02.87 in the prelims of the 2016 IC4A Championships at Boston University.

His time is 7th-fastest ever by a New Jersey runner and 4th-fastest by a South Jersey product, fastest since Delsea’s Aaron Younger from Rutgers ran 1:01.38 at the 2012 Big East Championships at the Armory.

In his only previous 500, Hohney ran 1:05.21 last January at Ocean Breeze. Hohney is a sophomore at Rider after competing briefly for Campbell University in Buie’s Creek, N.C.

St. Joe’s grad student Jayden Greene from Washington Township ran a lifetime-best 1:04.09 to place 5th. His previous PR over 500 meters was 1:04.49 at Ocean Breeze last year.

Where else on Earth are you going to find an all-time New Jersey 500-meter list? Nowhere! But we’ve got it!

Winslow girls record highest score in state relays history to win 7th straight championship!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Winslow Township girls put on a remarkable display of talent and versatility Saturday, recording the highest score in any group in state relays history.

Winslow scored an astonishing 69 1/2 points to win Group 3 for the 7th straight year and 10th overall. Winslow outscored 2nd, 3rd and 4th place combined. Moorestown was 2nd with 23 points, Roxbury 3rd with 22 and Ocean City 3rd with 20.

The Eagles scored in all but one event and won six of nine events, scoring 50 of a possible 60 points on the track.

The previous meet record for points at the state relays was Haddonfield’s 63 in Group 2 in 2022. The previous Group 3 high was 52 by Timber Creek in 2017 and Winslow Township last year.

Only Willingboro, with 11 state relays titles, has won more than Winslow. Their streak of seven straight titles – interrupted by COVID in 2021 – is 3rd-longest ever behind Hopewell Valley’s nine-year streak in Group 2 from 2002 through 2010 and that North Jersey all-star team in Parochial A the last nine years.

Winslow won the 1,600-meter relay with Cinnihya Robinson, Amariah Arango, Skyhe Seamon and freshman Jasmine Jackson in a meet-record 3:54.33, breaking the mark of 3:57.96 set last year by Timber Creek.

Winslow also won the shuttle hurdles with Ma’Syiah Brawner, Jackson, Chantina Walker and Sanaa Bradley, the 800-meter relay with Jackson, Olivia Okaro, Robinson and Seamon, the 3,200-meter relay in 9:40.99 with Adaiah Arango, Amariah Arango, Tristan Hughes and Ava Millner and the sprint medley in with Jordyn Cato, Tammy Ellis, Millner and Okaro in 4:17.91.

Brawner cleared 5-2 and Walker 5-0 to win the high jump relay. In the shot put relay, Brook-lynn Roberts threw 38-6 and freshman Jenelle Harrison 29-6 1/2 for 2nd place. And Winslow tied for 5th in the pole vault, junior Nyla Williams clearing 9-6 and junior Cherish Hazelton 7-6.

For 2nd-place Moorestown, seniors Hannah Byrd-Leitner and Jaya Stockham won the pole vault relay, Byrd-Leitner clearing 12-0 and Stockham 9-6.

The Quakers were also 2nd in the 4-by-4 and 4-by-8, with Sophia DiFiore, Lillliana Stack Maya, Hope Edwards and Sarah Brown running 4:10.50 and Brown, Gabrielle DeJoseph, Edwards and Stack Maya running 9:42.68.

Ocean City took 2nd in both the DMR and 4-by-8, with Chloe Care, Maeve Smith and Carly Godfrey running on both teams. They were joined by Alana Clevenger on the DMR, which ran 12:27.02, and by Riley Tolson on the 4-by-8, which ran 9:42.19.

Pennsauken picked up 2nd places in the shuttles and 4-by-4. Ameenah Rodriguez, Sianni Wynn, Sanaya Dupree and Olivia Dupree ran on both teams.

Camryn DeMorat, Isabella Moscola, Aryanna Perez and Ava McDole took 3rd for Mainland in the shuttles in 33.61.

Here’s a look at all the schools that have scored 60 points in a state relays meet:

69 1/2 … Winslow Twp., 2025, Group 3
63 … Haddonfield, 2022, Group 2

62 … Haddonfield, 2024, Group 2
60 … Willingboro, 2010, Group 1

Henry Cifaloglio joins elite 15-0 club, Delsea wins pole vault at state Group 3 relays!!!!!!

Delsea senior Henry Cifaloglio moved into the No. 6 spot on the all-time South Jersey indoor pole vault list with a 15-0 clearance at the Group 3 state relays.

It’s the Bubble so we get no field event progression, which is preposterous in this day and age. But the Bubble is stupid. So no splits on the track and no event progression in the field.

But Cifaloglio became the 9th South Jersey vaulter to clear 15 feet indoors, 3rd from Delsea and 6th from Gloucester County.

Cifaloglio is the 2nd Gloucester County vaulter to clear 15 feet this indoor season. Deptford’s Marcus Hood did it last month at a meet at the Ott Center. Hood cleared 15-3 outdoors last spring.

Cifaloglio’s indoor PR was 12-0 coming into this season. He cleared 14-0 at the state Group 3 meet at Delsea last spring and had just cleared 14-6 for the first time earlier this month at the Ott.

Delsea junior Mason Murray cleared 11-6, and the Crusader won the pole vault relay at the Group 3 State Relays with a combined 26-6. Deptford was 2nd with Hood [14-0] and junior Mason Henry [11-6].

Sophia Staiger from Eastern obliterates 5,000 PR and moves into American’s all-time top-10!!!!!!

American University junior Sophia Staiger from Eastern ran a huge 5,000 PR and the No. 9 time in school history Friday at Ocean Breeze.

Staiger won the 5,000 at the NYC Gotham Cup in 17:50.69, lapping the entire field along the way. She destroyed her PR of 18:27.39 from an outdoor meet in Fairfax, Va., in April (where she finished a step ahead of Moorestown graduate Kate Inglis of Catholic University, also in Washington). This was Staiger’s first indoor 5,000.

Staiger took the lead for good on the sixth lap. After nine laps, she still only led by one second, but she gradually pulled away from the field and ran away with the race, covering her 1,000s in 3:35.09, 3:34.93, 3:38.16, 3:32.76 and 3:29.75.

Delaware State’s Chris Johnson from Willingboro pops shot put PR and #1 throw in the MEAC (and likely school record) at Ocean Breeeze!!!!!!

Willingboro graduate Chris Johnson, a junior at Delaware State, popped a shot put PR and the No. 1 throw this year in the MEAC Saturday Friday in the Gotham Cup at Ocean Breeze.

Johnson threw 54-3 1/4 on his final attempt to pass Robbie Babson of Georgian Court, who was leading with a 54-0 3/4, and win the event.

Johnso’s previous indoor PR was 54-2 from a 2nd-place finish at the indoor MEAC meet in Virginia Beach this past February.

He also had a 53-5 1/4 in his series on Friday.

Delaware State is one of few programs that doesn’t list school records on its web site, but the best throw I found was a 54-6 1/2 outdoors by Tyrell Martin two years ago. Johnson’s 54-3 1/4 is the best indoor mark I found going back to 2010, which is as far back as TFRRS goes.

Rowan’s Kwaku Nkrumah blazes to No. 10 hurdles mark in NCAA Division 3 history!!!!!!!!

Rowan junior Kwaku Nkrumah, the NCAA Division 3 national champion over the 110-meter high hurdles in the spring, blasted an indoor hurdles PR and the No. 10 mark in Division 3 history Saturday at Ocean Breeze.

Nkrumah lowered his PR from 7.92 to 7.90 at the NYC Gotham Cup. Here’s a look at the all-time D-3 hurdles list.

Post-grad Edward Williams, a former IC4A champ at Central Connecticut, won the race in 7.86. Nkrumah was 2nd and Sterling grad Marquise Young placed 3rd in 7.99, just off his lifetime best of 7.96 from last year on the same track. That’s No. 16 in D-3 history.

Rowan sophomore Jason Agyemang from North Plainfield was 4th in 8.23 and junior Michael Lawrence from South Plainfield 6th with a PR 8.28.

Rowan freshman Jamir Brown, the NCAA D-3 record holder with his 7.72 last month, ran 8.17 in the trials and qualified for the final but didn’t finish.

Brown is No. 1 this year in Division 3, Nkrumah No. 3 and Young No. 4.

Here’s my best attempt at an all-time Rowan sub-8.10 list:
7.72 … Jamir Brown [Riverside], 2025 [Staten Island, N.Y.]
7.90 … Kwaku Nkrumah [Teaneck], 2025 [Staten Island, N.Y.]
7.96 … Marquis Young [Sterling], 2024 [Staten Island, N.Y.]
7.98 … David Benjamin [Freehold Twp.], 2017 [Naperville, Ill.]
8.01 … Bobby Cooks [McArthur, Pembroke Pines, Fla.], 2018 [Ithaca, N.Y.]
8.07 … Jacob Kiyler [Toms River North], 2024 [Staten Island, N.Y.]
8.08 … Jason Agyemang [North Plainfield], 2024 [Rochester, N.Y.]

Audubon girls win sprint medley at Group 1 State Relays!!!!!!

Audubon junior Kylie Tocco, freshman Bianca Curran, sophomore Sophia Rizzo and junior Riley Fayer ran 4:22.81 and won the sprint medley at the state Group 1 relays at the Bubble Friday.

Audubon topped Schalick, which placed 2nd in 4:25.18 with senior Gia Martellacci, sophomore Brooke Valentine, senior Allyson Green and senior Jordan Hadfield.

Audubon finished 3rd in team scoring with 34 points, behind only Ramsey [54] and Metuchen [46]. Haddon Township placed 5th with 18 points, and Woodbury was 6th with 12 points.
