Big horizontal jumps double for Glassboro sophomore Moses Robles to open the outdoor season.
Robles jumped 22-1 and 45-11 ½ at the Deptford Spartan Relays, the top marks in both jumps by South Jersey athletes so far this spring. State-wide, Robles ranks 5th in the long jump and 3rd in the triple jump and 1st in both among sophomores.
Robles had a 44-10, a 45-7 ½ and a 45-11 ½ in his triple jump series and a 21-7 in addition to his 22-1 in his long jump series.
Robles jumped 21-3 ¼ and 44-5 ½ last spring and then improved to 23-4 and 46-4 ½ indoors, the 23-4 when he won Easterns and set a South Jersey sophomore record at the Armory and the 46-4 ½ at the Ott Center. He is No. 3 in Gloucester County history indoors in the long jump and No. 5 in the triple jump.
