Kingsway’a Aubrey Bishop runs all-time Gloucester County 5th-fastest 3,200 at Boston Nationals!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kingsway junior Aubrey Bishop moved into the No. 5 spot in Gloucester County history at 3,200 meters Friday at Boston THE TRACK Nationals.

Bishop ran 10:50.85 for the full two miles, converting to 10:47.08 for 3,200 meters. Her PR going into the meet was 10:53.83 for 3,200 meters at the Meet of Champions at Ocean Breeze, so this is a nearly seven-second PR.

Bishop is 2nd-fastest ever at Kingsway, behind Chelsea Ley, who ran 10:43.10 at the 2009 Meet of Champions at the Bubble and won the Meet of Champions that spring at South Plainfield in 10:19.31.

Bishop’s time is No. 19 in South Jersey hitory.

Not bad considering Bishop’s fastest times last spring were 5:51.68 and 12:53.45. But she had an outstanding XC season, 3rd at Group 4 sectionals at DREAM Park, 9th at states at Holmdel and 36th at the Meet of Champions with a 19:09 at Holmdel. That is 3rd-fastest ever by a Kingsway girl at Holmdel, behind Ley’s 17:44 in 2008 and Rachel Vick’s 18:29 in 2016.

Bishop’s 3,200 PR was 11:10.65 as recently as late February before a 10:55.85 for 4th at states and that 10:53.83 at the Meet of Champions. So she’s PR’d by 23 ½ seconds in three weeks.
