Cherokee’s Jessica Woodard placed 4th in the shot put Saturday at USATF Nationals at Ocean Breeze, her 12th consecutive top-8 finish at a national championship meet.
Woodard threw 59-0 ¼ on her 3rd attempt and finished just a foot and a half off the podium.
Since 2017, Woodard has competed at Nationals 14 times and finished 3rd three times, 4th twice, 5th twice, 6th twice, 7th three times, 8th once and 9th once.
