Audubon girls win sprint medley on way to strong 2nd-place finish in Group 1 State Relays at the Bubble!!!!!!!!!!!!

Audubon won the sprint medley with senior Alaina Copsetta, junior Kathryn McGuire, junior Sophia Rizzo and senior Riley Fayer and scored a whopping 48 points – enough to win the meet most years – for 2nd place at the Group 1 state relays Thursday at the Bubble.

Ramsey finished with a 60-48 margin of victory, with Glassboro 3rd with 23 points.

Audubon’s sprint medley team ran 4:19.43 for the win, and Audubon also picked up 2nd-places in the DMR, 800-meter relay, 1,600-meter relay and pole vault relay.

In the DMR, junior Lydia Gravante, sophomore Keira Baumann, junior Isabella Legatie and Fayer ran 12:58.66, and McGuire, Rizzo, senior Kylie Tocco and Copsetta ran 1:51.34 in the 800-meter relay. Rizzo, Baumann, Fayer and Copetta ran 4:20.80 in the 4-by-4, and seniors Morganna Makuszewski [8-0] and Marissa DeValerio [6-0] teamed up for 2nd in the vault.

Audubon also scored in the 3,200-meter relay, with Legatie, Madison Phillippi, freshman Emma Camm and Gravante running 10:19.74 for 3rd.

Glassboro picked up two wins in the field, with senior Sunsairai Moore [36-8 ¾] and junior Virginia Tarasevitch [31-6] winning the shot put relay and junior Elizabeth Mann [8-6] and Moore [7-6] 1st in the pole vault relay.

In the sprint medley, West Deptford freshman Devyn Hightower, sophomore Melena Moore, freshman Aurora Morina and senior Kayla Romanoski ran 4:21.41 for 2nd place.

Pennsville placed 2nd in the high jump relay behind seniors Kallie Morrison [5-0] and Molly Gratz [4-6].

Lower Cape May picked up 3rd in that pole vault competition, with junior Katarina Ojasoo [7-6] and senior Katrina Sharp [6-0], and Penns Grove was 3rd in the shot put with junior Zoey Ceasar [31-1 ½] and senior Jarlene Vichi [29-8 ¾].
