The Ocean City and Cherokee girls ran the two-fastest distance medleys in the U.S. so far this year Saturday at the Ott Center.
Ocean City won the race in 12:24.53, with Cherokee 2nd in 12:25.94.
For Ocean City, sophomore Riley Tolson led off with a 3:46.76 for 1,200 meters, sophomore Julianne Goodman split 63.63 for two laps, junior Lillian Flora ran 2:26.68 for the 800 and junior Carly Godfrey anchored in 5:07.46, closing in 71.23 and 32.14.
For Cherokee, senior Madeline Meder opened in 3:51.20, sophomore Emily Couture ran 64.95, senior Sofia Recinto split 2.19.74 and senior Alyssa Suriano anchored in 5:10.06, closing in 72.40.
Haddonfield and Audubon both also ran sub-13, Haddonfield 3rd in 12:55.48 and Audubon 4th in 12:58.78. Their times are 5th– and 6th-fastest this year in South Jersey. Junior Molly Mills, sophomore Natalie Lacroce, junior Madison Kelsey and senior Edith Green ran for Haddonfield, and junior Lydia Gravante, senior Kylie Tocco, junior Isabella Legatie and senior Riley Fayer for Audubon.
