Kingsway sophomore Chase Daciw wins hot 55-meter dash at the Bubble, closing in on school record!!!!!!

Impressive race over 60 meters Monday at the Bubble between Kingsway sophomore Chase Daciw and Monroe Township junior Adedotun Aderibigbe, with Daciw edging Aderibigbe by 1-100th of a second.

Daciw PR’d at 6.61 and Aderibigbe was 2nd at 6.62, with Oakcrest junior 3rd in 6.70 and Burlington senior Malachi Sadler 5th at 6.73.

Daciw had a 6.93 PR as a freshman, but blew that away with a 6.73 last week in Toms River before hitting 6.61 Monday. It looks like he didn’t compete outdoors last spring.

The fastest Kingsway time I could find is a 6.56 by Damon Dukes Jr. at 2022 South Jersey Group 4 Sectionals, also at the Bubble. So unless there’s a faster time somewhere Daciw is only 5-100ths of a second off the school record early in his sophomore year.

Looks like the only faster Gloucester County sophomore over the past 10 years is John Santos of Washington Township, who ran 6.58 in 2023 at Ocean Breeze.
