Maddie Dischert, a junior from Brigantine and Atlantic City High School, and Matt McCarron, a sophomore from Cinnaminson, where Rider’s leading runners Saturday at the MAAC Championships in Montgomery, N.Y.
Dischert ran an all-course best 21:35.3 over 6,000 meters at Twin Ponds on the Farm and placed 14th in the Metro-Atlantic Athletic Conference race. Her previous 6K best on any course was a 21:38.4 two weeks ago on Princeton’s Meadows course in West Windsor. Dischert ran 48 seconds faster than last year, when she placed 43rd in this meet on the same course between Manhattan and Albany.
McCarron, a sophomore, was Rider’s top finisher in 17th place with an all-course PR of 24:53.4 over 8,000 meters. He also set his previous best two weeks ago in West Windsor.
