Julian Onesti, Donte Davis, Quayd Hendryx rewrite South Jersey sprint record book!!!!!!!!

St. Augustine senior Julian Onesti and Burlington City junior Donte Davis ran two of the fastest 100-meter dashes in South Jersey history on Wednesday at the Meet of Champions in Pennsauken. And Burlington Township’s Quayd Hendryx wasn’t far behind.

Onesti placed 3rd in 10.46, and Davis was 5th in 10.48, and although the race was wind aided at 2.5 meters per second – anything over 2.0 is considered unacceptable for record purposes – their times are 12th- and 13th-fastest in meet history under any conditions.

The race produced five of the 15-fastest times in meet history and the 6th- and 7th-fastest times in South Jersey history. It produced the fastest times for 3rd-, 4th-, 5th- and 6th place.

Now, let’s take a look at what Onesti’s 10.46 and Davis’s 10.48 look like after running those times through the wind-gauge correction calculator. A 10.46 with 2.5 wind is equivalent to a 10.49 with a legal 2.0 wind or 10.61 with no wind. And a 10.48 equals 10.51 with legal wind or 10.63 with no wind.

Davis has all next year to get under 10.50 with legal wind. Onesti is a senior and hopefully will race at Franklin Field next weekend.

Either way, Onesti’s time is an Atlantic County record, and Davis’s is 3rd-fastest by a Burlington County sprinter, behind Malachi James’ 10.18 at Group 1 sectionals last spring (where there wasn’t a wind gauge) and the legal 10.45 that James Townsend of Holy Cross ran to win the 2003 Meet of Champions in the final track race he ever ran.

While wind-aided times can’t be used for county or South Jersey records, they can be used for the Meet of Champions all-time list or all-time state lists because so many meets over the years haven’t even had wind gauges. So we would have to disqualify half the 100s and 200s (and 110 hurdles and long jumps and triple jumps) ever recorded in South Jersey.

Before Wednesday, Onesti’s PR was 10.56 at the state Parochial A meet at Egg Harbor township, where he placed 3rd, and Davis’s was 10.74 at Group 1 sectionals at Pennsauken, where he placed 3rd.

Incredibly, neither sprinter broke 11 seconds last year. Davis’s PR until the BCSL meet last month was 11.08 and Onesti’s PR was 11.20 until FAT Wednesday at Cherokee in late April.

Amazing that City could lose the fastest sprinter in state history in James, now at Syracuse, and have a Meet of Champions medalist a year later.

And we can’t have this conversation without mentioning Hendryx, who was 7th in the Meet of Champions 100 final in 10.63 after a wind-legal PR 10.61 in the trials. He also anchored Burlington Township’s mind-blowing 40.75 state record in the 400-meter relay.

Davis and Hendryx are 3rd- and 5th-fastest wind-legal in Burlington County history, and both are back next spring.

The fastest wind-legal times by South Jersey sprinters this year are Davis’s 10.55 in the MoC trials [1.3], Onesti’s 10.56 in the trials [0.8] and Hendryx’s 10.61 [1.3]. Also under 10.80 with legal wind were Glassboro sophomore Xavier Sabb [10.69], Camden junior Jaiden Steele [10.72), Shawnee senior Robert Null [10.76], Lenape senior M.J. Lincoln [10.78].

On the all-time South Jersey wind-legal list, Davis and Onesty are 7th and 8th, and Hendryx is 14th. Davis and Hendryx are the 2nd- and 4th-fastest juniors. Davis, Hendryx and Steele are 1st, 3rd and 5th among New Jersey juniors this year (with legal wind).

OCEAN CITY’S MAEVE SMITH RACES INTO ALL-TIME SOUTH JERSEY 3,200 TOP-10!!!!!!!!

Oeean City senior Maeve Smith raced her way into the all-time South Jersey top-10 in the 3,200 Wednesday at the Meet of Champions at Pennsauken.

Smith ran 10:32.54 and placed 3rd after passing two runners on her final lap, which she ran in 70.22, the fastest closing 400 in the field.

Her previous PR was 10:39.76 from Cherokee Distance Night in April. Her 10:32.54 broke the Cape May County record of 10:39.15 set by Ocean City’s Devin Grisbaum at the 2014 Meet of Champions at South Plainfield.

Her time is 10th-fastest in South Jersey history and 6th-fastest ever by a South Jersey girl at the Meet of Champions.

Smith ran almost identical splits, out in 5:16.16 and back in 5:16.40. She ran her final 800 in 2:31.43, fastest in the field.

Northern Burlington senior Liliah Gordon placed 4th [10:43.78] and Holy Cross junior Julia Flanagan 8th [10:53.95] gave South Jersey three of the top eight.

We wrote yesterday about Ocean City’s winning 4-by-8, which ran the 5th-fastet time in South Jersey history with senior Chloe Care, Smith, freshman Riley Tolson and sophomore Carly Godfrey. Click here for that story. Smith ran a 2:17.90 split on the 2nd leg and left Pennsauken with two medals. Godfrey had another fantastic race as well, following her 2:10.89 anchor with a 2:11.72 for 7th place in the 800.

BRIDGETON’S ZAMIR CHANCE WINS MEET OF CHAMPIONS TRIPLE JUMP!!!!!!!!

Bridgeton senior Zamir Chance capped a remarkable season Wednesday by winning the triple jump at the Meet of Champions at Pennsauken.

Chance jumped 47-3 ¾ – into a 2.6 meters-per-second wind – on his 2nd attempt and finished 4 ¾ inches ahead of senior Josiah Williams of Mainland, who handed him his only two losses in New Jersey competitions this year.

Other than the Penn Relays, Chance lost only at the Woodbury Relays and Cape-Atlantic Conference meets, where he was 2nd to Williams. He went undefeated in championship season, winning South Jersey Group 4 sectionals at 48-3, winning the state Group 4 title with a personal-best and wind-legal 48-9 – No. 5 in South Jersey history – and then becoming Bridgeton’s first MoC winner in 10 years on Wednesday.

Williams was 2nd with a 46-11 jump on his 5th attempt. Chance also had a 46-11 ¾, so he had the two-best jumps of the meet.

It was the first 1-2 South Jersey finish in the Meet of Champions triple jump since 2009, when Glassboro’s Ryan Chance – Any relation? Anybody? – won with a 47-7 ½ and Chris Rountree of Haddon Heights was 2nd with a 47-6 ½.

Chance is the first Bridgeton Meet of Champions winner since Markquese Bell, the current Dallas Cowboy, won the high jump at 6-10 in 2015.

Bridgeton had 10 Meet of Champions winners in the 1990s with five double winners: high jumper Dwayne Robinson, sprinter Curtis McIntyre, Ray Wilks in the shot, Royce Reed in the javelin and intermediates – one of the wildest doubles ever – and Nick Brown in the 200 and long jump. Full list of Bridgeton Meet of Champions winners is below.

South Jersey has won five of the last eight Meet of Champions triple jump competitions.

Willingboro and Pennsauken girls blaze two of the fastest 4-by-1s in state history, Rancocas Valley, Ocean City and Kingsway also run hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Willingboro and Pennsauken girls blazed two of the five-fastest 400-meter relay times in South Jersey history Wednesday, and Rancocas Valley and Kingsway weren’t far behind.

Willingboro, Pennsauken and Rancocas Valley placed 2nd, 3rd and 4th at the Meet of Champions at Pennsauken and were the three-fastest public schools in the race.

A Scotch Plains-based all-star team won the race in 46.22, with Willingboro 2nd in 46.71, Pennsauken 3rd in 46.95, Rancocas Valley 3rd in 47.36 and Kingsway 6th in 47.84. Washington Township [48.60], Burlington Township [48.88] and Ocean City [48.89] all also broke 49 seconds in the fastest 400-meter relay in New Jersey track history.

The race produced the 1st-, 3rd-, 5th- and 14th-fastest times in meet history and the 3rd-, 5th- and 15th-fastest times in South Jersey history.

The fastest times for place in meet history for every place from 1st through 18th – other than 5th – came from this race.

Willingboro’s 46.71 with junior Kaila Speight, Jade Pinder, Maya Bolden and senior Nester Wea is 10th-fastest in state history and 3rd-fastest all-time in South Jersey, behind Timber Creek’s 46.19 in 2024 and 46.43 in 2023. It broke the Burlington County record – a hand-timed 46.9 by Willingboro at the 1980 state Group 4 Championships in Piscataway. It was the fastest 2nd-place time in meet history, more than half a second faster than Delsea’s 47.27 behind Summit’s 47.07 in 2017.

Just behind was Pennsauken, with juniors Sanaya Dupree and Olivia Dupree, sophomore Abigayle John and junior Sianni Wynn, who went on to win the 100 and 200 for the 2nd year in a row. Pennsauken’s 46.95 is 15th-fastest in state history, 5th-fastest in South Jersey history and 6th-fastest in meet history. The fastest previous 3rd-place time was East Brunswick’s 47.45 in 2017. Pennsauken was a full half second faster.

Rancocas Valley was next, and its 47.36 with senior Cecilia King, junior Angelina Brown, junior Rhyann Roseboro and senior Jordyn Hickson is 14th-fastest in South Jersey history and broke the school record of 47.49 from the 2017 Meet of Champions at Northern Burlington. R.V.’s time is No. 3 in Burlington County history, behind those two Willingboro performances from Wednesday and 1980.

Kingsway’s 47.84 with senior Jonnelle Lewis, freshman Talia Griscom, freshman Noemi Haller and sophomore Saudah Turner for 6th place is 2nd-fastest in Gloucester County history, behind only Delsea’s 47.27 at the 2017 Meet of Champions at Northern Burlington.

Burlington Township ran sophomore Elaia Campbell, senior Valerie Castro, junior Laila Fairweather and freshman Lanae Porter on its school-record 48.88 team, and Ocean City used freshman Julianne Goodman, sophomore Ella Miller, sophomore Alana Clevenger and senior Naomi Nnewhie and ran 48.89, just a fraction off the 48.81 Cape May County record they ran at Group 3 states.

Winslow ran 47.07 at Penn, which is 4th-fastest in the state this year but scratched at the Meet of Champions. They could still race it again at Franklin Field Nationals.

Woodstown runs fastest 4-by-8 by a New Jersey Group 1 in 42 years in monumental race at Meet of Champions!!!!!!!!

Group 1 schools aren’t supposed to run like this. They rarely do.

The Woodstown boys – juniors Karson Chew and Jacob Marino, senior Cole Lucas and junior Josh Crawford – placed 5th in the Meet of Champions 3,200-meter relay in 7:54.84, the fastest time by a New Jersey Group 1 school in over 40 years.

The time is fastest by a South Jersey school this year and – as far as I can tell – fastest by a New Jersey Group 1 since Bernards ran 7:48.1 at the 1983 Penn Relays. It’s 2nd-fastest ever by a South Jersey Group 1 and fastest in 48 years, since Woodbury ran 7:48.3 (converted from 7:51.1 for two miles) in 1977. Can’t for the life of me figure out where they ran that. Wasn’t at Penn or the state relays. If you know, tell me!

It’s a little tricky figuring out this stuff because some schools like Haddonfield and Bernards have bounced between Group 1 and Group 2 and performance lists in the pre-MileSplit Era are incomplete.

But as far as I can tell after a morning of research, Bernard in 1982 and 1983 and Woodbury in 1977 are the only Group 1 schools to run faster than Woodstown.

The Wolverines had never broken 8:24 before 2024 but got down to 8:08.09 last spring and finally dipped under eight minutes for the first time when they won the state Group 1 title in Somerset before a 4 ½-second school record Wednesday at Pennsauken.

Chew led off with a 1:59.50 split, Marino ran 2:02.46, Lucas 2:02.01 and Crawford anchored in 1:54.46.

It’s the first medal Woodstown has won at the Meet of Champions in 13 years, since Jake Prus placed 6th in the javelin in 2012 with a throw of 174-2.

CBA won the race in 7:48.55, followed by West Orange [7:48.57], Westfield [7:52.89] and Demarest [7:53.33].

Crawford ran 1:53.44 to win the state Group 1 title – fastest by a South Jersey half-miler this year – and was 7th in the 800 Wednesday at Pennsauken in 1:53.83. He’ll be the 3rd-fastest returner in New Jersey next year.

And while Lucas is graduating, Woodstown returns Chew, Marino and Crawford as well as Kyle Reitz, who ran 2:04.30 this spring as a sophomore in his first year of track.

But Woodstown isn’t done yet.

They’ll race one more 4-by-8 at Franklin Field Nationals a week from Friday. Crawford will also race in the open 800 one day later.

LINDENWOLD’S EGYPT BOLAN WINS MEET OF CHAMPIONS HIGH JUMP WITH NO. 5 CLEARANCE IN SOUTH JERSEY HISTORY!!!!!!!!

Junior Egypt Bolan became Lindenwold’s first-ever outdoor Meet of Champions winner Wednesday with the best high jump clearance by a New Jersey girl in six years.

Bolan cleared a lifetime-best 5-9 to win the Meet of Champions high jump at Pennsauken. It’s the best clearance by a New Jersey high jumper since 2019, when Timber Creek’s Tierra Hooker cleared 5-10 for the fifth time and won the Meet of Champions at Northern Burlington.

Bolan’s jump is No. 18 in state history – but only one inch from the No. 4 mark – and it’s also tied for No. 5 in South Jersey history.

Bolan had a 5-2 PR until this indoor season. She PR’d at 5-6 in a meet at the Bubble, then followed that up with several more 5-8 clearances, including one to win the indoor Meet of Champions at Ocean Breeze.

She was consistently over 5-6 and 5-8 this spring and PR’d with a 5-8 ¾ at the Penn Relays, where she placed 3rd at the Penn Relays, where she was the top American.

Unbelievably, the Meet of Champions results don’t show high jump progression, because the NJSIAA is apparently running track meets in 1979 these days. So we don’t know where Bolan entered the competition or what height she attempted after winning at 5-9. [Then again, that shouldn’t be a surprise. The official results also show 20 girls clearing 6-5. And also list Bolan with a “DNS,” indicating Did not Start. So who knows.] If anybody reading this has her progression info please shoot it over to me in the comment’s section!

Hooker is one of six South Jersey women who have jumped at least 5-10, including three 6-footers: Priscilla Frederick of Sicklerville and Paul VI cleared 6-3 in 2015, MaryBeth Labosky of Shamong Township and Holy Cross cleared 6-1 ½ in 1992 and Willingboro graduate Kenady Wilson cleared 6-0 ¾ in 2022. Also Megan Kirschling of West Deptford cleared 5-10 ½ in 2012 and Bryanna Craig of Millville 5-10 in 2022.

SIANNI WYNN DOES IT AGAIN!!!!!!!! SWEEPS MEET OF CHAMPIONS SPRINTS, SHATTERS TWO MEET RECORDS, BREAKS ONE S.J. RECORD!!!!!!!!

Sianni Wynn destroyed the South Jersey record in the 200 and came within 2-100ths of a second of the state record in the 100 in her 2nd consecutive Meet of Champions sprint double.

Wynn, racing on her home track at Pennsauken, became just the 4th girl to double the 100- and 200-meter dashes at a Meet of Champions two years in a row and the first in 23 years.

She won the 200 in a wind-legal 23.20 and the 100 in a slightly wind-aided 11.25 after a meet-rcord 11.30 in the trials. The 23.20 broke the wind-legal South Jersey record of 23.29 set by Timber Creek’s Naylah Jones last year at the state Group 3 meet at Delsea. It’s No. 2 in state history, behind only four-time Olympic gold medalist Sydney McLaughlin, who ran 22.96 at the 2017 Parochial A meet at Egg Harbor.

That 11.25 is only 2-100ths of a second off the state record of 11.23 set by Timber Creek’s Naylah Jones last year at the state Group 3 meet at Delsea. On the all-time New Jersey wind-legal list, Wynn is 3rd at 11.36, but it’s just a matter of time till she runs faster with legal wind.

Since the NJSIAA has never bothered with wind readings (or much of anything) in its record keeping, both of Wynn’s marks will be considered meet records.

She broke the 100 record of 11.36 that she set last year and broke the 200 record of 24.36 set by Elizabeth’s Cynthia Boakye in 2023.

The only other girls to win the 100 and 200 in consecutive years are Willingboro’s Michelle Glover in 1980 and 1981, Nicole Carmichael of JFK Paterson in 1994 and Jenna Harris of Franklin in 2002. Details below.

Including her Meet of Champions 400 win as a freshman in 2023, Wynn now has five MoC individual titles. With a year to go, that’s tied for 7th-most in meet history. Among South Jersey girls, only Erin Donohue of Haddonfield and Carol Lewis of Willingboro – two Olympians – have more all-time MoC individual titles, with six apiece. Michelle Glover of Pennsauken and Willingboro and Natalie Dumas of Eastern also have five. Billota’s eight are the most in history and nobody else has more than seven. Wynn and Dumas will both have a chance to chase Bilotta’s record next year.

Here’s a more detailed look at the four girls who’ve swept the 100 and 200 in back-to-back years. As you can see, Wynn’s two doubles are far more impressive than the others:

Sianni Wynn [Pennsauken] 2024 [11.36, 23.34], 2025 [11.25, 23.20]
Jenna Harris [Franklin] 2002 [11.96, 24.32], 2003 [11.74 23.87]
Nicole Carmichael [JFK Paterson], 1994 [12.04, 24.47], 1995 [11.80, 24.12]
Michelle Glover [Willingboro], 1980 [11.6h, 24.4h], 1981 [11.5h, 23.5h]

The only South Jersey women to run 200 meters faster than Wynn with legal wind are Wilson’s Dennisha Page [22.39 in Gainesville last May], Olympian English Gardner [22.62 in Los Angeles in 2013] and Williamstown’s Gabrielle Farquharson [23.07 in Lincoln, Neb., in 2016].

Wynn also anchored Pennsauken’s 3rd-place 400-meter relay team, which ran 46.95. That’s No. 16 in state history and No. 5 in South Jersey history. Juniors Sanaya Dupree and Olivia Dupree and sophomore Abigayle John ran the 1st three legs.

Willingboro ran 46.71 in the same race for 2nd place. That’s No. 11 in state history, No. 3 in South Jersey history and a Burlington County record. Senior Nester Wea, junior Kalia Speight, sophomore Jade Pinder and sophomore Maya Bolden ran for the Chimeras.

THE GREATEST PERFORMANCE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NATALIE DUMAS FINISHES OFF INSANE MEET OF CHAMPIONS TRIPLE BY DESTROYING MEET RECORD IN THE 800!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Natalie Dumas finished the greatest performance in New Jersey girls track history with an astonishing record-setting 800-meter win at the Meet of Champions, her 3rd win of the day.

After winning the 400 and intermediate hurdles somewhat routinely – 53.16 in the 400 and 1:00.25 in the 400 hurdles – Dumas won the 800 in 2:02.75, 3rd-fastest in state history and 3rd-fastest in the U.S. this year.

Dumas joins two legends – Jodie Bilotta of North Hunterdon and Olivia Baker of Columbia – as only the 3rd triple winner in Meet of Champions history.

Bilotta won the 800 in 2:11.16, 1,600 in 5:00.79 and 3,200 in 10:24.18 at the 1988 meet at South Plainfield, and Baker won the 100 in 12.05, 200 in 23.95 and 400 in 53.84 at the 2013 meet, also at South Plainfield.

Dumas, a junior at Eastern, is now the co-state record holder in the 400 at 51.87, No. 3 in state history in the intermediates at 57.30 and No. 3 in the 800.

The only faster girls in state history at 800 meters are Ajee’ Wilson of Neptune, who ran 2:00.91 at the 2012 IAAF World Juniors in Barcelona, and Olympic gold medalist Athing Mu of Trenton, who ran 2:01.17 at the 2019 U.S. Senior Nationals in Des Moines, Iowa.

Dumas broke the meet record of 2:04.67 set by Southern Regional’s Jill Smith at the 2009 meet at south Plainfield. She destroyed the South Jersey record of 2:07.33 set also in that 2009 race by Haddonfield’s Marielle Hall.

Clemmie Lilly of Rumson-Fair Haven, a Stanford signee, placed 2nd in 2:05.96. Lilly is a four-time 800 All-America who came into the race ranked 7th in the U.S. with a PR of 2:04.79 from last month at Icahn Stadium in New York.

Dumas was out in 60.45 with a slight lead on Lilly and came back in 62.30, turning a close race into a 20-meter win.

Dumas has run much faster in the 400 and intermediates than she did Wednesday, but this was a massive breakthrough in the 8. Her 800 PR was 2:07.68 indoors at Armory Nationals in March. Her previous outdoor PR was 2:10.49 to win the state Group 4 race last week.

So she dropped nearly eight seconds from her outdoor PR and about five seconds from her lifetime best.

Dumas won the 400 and intermediates at last year’s Meet of Champions, and her five total titles – with a year left – are tied for 7th-most in meet history. Among South Jersey girls, only Erin Donohue of Haddonfield and Carol Lewis of Willingboro – two Olympians – have more all-time MoC individual titles, with six apiece. Michelle Glover of Pennsauken and Willingboro also has five. Billota’s eight are the most in history and nobody else has more than seven.

Dumas’s time is not far off the B standard of 2:02.50 for U.S. Nationals in Eugene next month. She already has the B standards in the 400 and intermediates.

The only South Jersey girls to win the Meet of Champions 800 in the last 25 years are Kadence Dumas in 2023 and Natalie Dumas this year.

Her 2:02.75 also broke her older sister’s outdoor school record of 2:10.44 and the family record. Kadence ran 2:07.30 as a Delaware sophomore this spring in a meet in Lewisburg, Pa.

Her time is 5th-fastest ever run by a South Jersey native. It’s 12th-fastest on the all-time New Jersey alumni list:

CLAYTON’S ALEXANDER OSAYEMI OBLITERATES MEET OF CHAMPIONS 400 RECORD WITH #3 TIME IN NEW JERSEY HISTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Clayton senior Alexander Osayemi blasted the 3rd-fastest 400 in state history and fastest by a South Jersey runner in 41 years Wednesday at the Meet of Champions at Pennsauken.

Osayemi, whose previous PR was 46.60 earlier this month in a meet in Baltimore, blazed a 46.08, fastest by a New Jersey quarter-miler since Clayton Parros of Seton Hall Prep set the state record of 45.71 at the 2009 Great Southwest Meet in Albuquerque, N. Mex.

The only faster time in South Jersey was Olympic gold medalist Dennis Mitchell’s 46.02 at the International Prep Invitational in Elmhurst, Ill., in 1984.

Osayemi shattered the meet record of 46.43 set by Najee Glass of St. Peter’s Prep at the 2011 meet in Old Bridge.

He won by nearly 1 ½ seconds, finishing a whopping 12 meters ahead of 2nd-place Warren Jean, a senior at Linden.

Osayemi’s time is 9th-fastest in the U.S. this year, according to the MileSplit database. It’s only 8-100ths of a second off the B qualifying standard for U.S. nationals in Eugene next month. It’s 19th-fastest on the World Athletics Under-20 list and No. 7 among U.S. Under-20.

Osayemi is the first Clayton boy ever to win a Meet of Champions title, the first Gloucester County runner to win the MoC 400 and the first South Jersey runner to win the MoC 400 since hurdler Sincere Rhea of St. Augustine in 2019.

His 46.08 is 7th-fastest ever by a South Jersey alum.

Osayemi ran the 46.08 doubling back after placing 2nd in the 400-meter hurdles in a lifetime-best 52.70, 5th-fastest in Gloucester County history. In his 3rd race of the day he ran a wind-aided 21.43 for 3rd place in the 200.

Ocean City’s Chloe Care, Maeve Smith, Riley Tolson, Carly Godfrey open Meet of Champions with 4-by-8 with and 5th-fastest time in South Jersey history!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Ocean City girls – seniors Chloe Care and Maeve Smith, freshman Riley Tolson and sophomore Carly Godfrey – won the Meet of Champion 3,200-meter relay Wednesday with the 4th-fastest time in meet history and 5th-fastest time in South Jersey history

Ocean City recorded its first MoC relay win with a time of 9:07.71, fastest in the Meet of Champions in seven years, since Ridge won the 2018 race in 9:03.19.

The time lowered their own Cape May County record of 9:14.20 from the state Group 3 meet in South Plainfield last weekend. Their time is No. 27 in state history.

South Jersey swept the top three spots, with Moorestown 2nd in 9:18.34 – 8th-fastest in Burlington County history – and Cherokee 3rd in 9:20.37.

Care led off for Ocean City with a 2:16.35 split that had Ocean City in 2nd behind Moorestown senior Sarah Brown, who led off in 2:14.18. Smith split 2:17.90 to move Ocean City into the lead, and Tolson split 2:22.60 to hold the lead. Godfrey then anchored emphatically in 2:10.89.

For Moorestown, sophomore Sophia DiFiore and freshmen Payton Derer and Hope Edwards followed Brown, with Edwards anchoring in 2:14.10.

Cherokee’s lineup was freshman Erin Healy and juniors Sofia Recinto, Madeline Meder and Alyssa Siriano, with Recinto splitting 2:17.31 and Meder 2:17.37.

This is the first time 1-2-3 South Jersey sweep since the 4-by-8 was added in 2010.
