What an inpressive meet for Absegami senior Jaidah Garrett Tuesday at the Atlantic County Championships.
Garrett won the 100 in 12.19, the 200 in 24.59, the long jump at 19-4 and the triple jump with a 37-5 ¾.
She’s now No. 4 in South Jersey in the 100, No. 5 in the 200, No. 2 in the long jump and No. 2 in the triple jump. On the 2025 state list, she’s No. 2 in the long jump, No. 6 in the 200, 11th in the triple and 13th in the 100.
She PR’d in the 100 and 200 and was close in both horizontal jumps. She’s now No. 5 in Atlantic County history in the 100 and 200 and No. 4 in the triple in addition holding the county record in the long jump.
Atlantic County Tech sophomore Brianna Growalt had quite a meet as well with PR 2nd-places in the 200 in 24.79, hurdles in 14.44 and long jump with an 18-9 ¼. She was 2nd to Garrett in the 200 and long jump and 2nd to Pleasantville freshman Isabella Alvarez’s PR 14.41 in the hurdles. Growalt is now No. 7 in Atlantic County history in the 200 and 5th in the long jump. She’s 6th in South Jersey in the 200, 3rd in the hurdles and 3rd in the long jump. She’s the top sophomore in New Jersey in the hurdles and long jump and 3rd in the 200.
