R.V.’s Cecilia King runs 3rd-fastest hurdles time in New Jersey this year, 8th-fastest in Burlington County history at Rap Curry Invite!!!!!!

Rancocas Valley senior Cecliia King ran a lifetime-best 14.45 in the hurdles Saturday in Yeadon and the 8th-fastest time in Burlington County history.

King placed 3rd in the 100-meter highs – 2-1,000ths of a second out of 2nd – at the Rap Curry Invitational at Penn Wood High School.

Her time is fastest in South Jersey this year and 3rd-fastest in New Jersey. It’s also only 6-100ths of a second off the school record of 14.39 set in 2022 by Annabella Chin at the Meet of Championds in Somerset.

King’s previous PR was a 14.48 last June at West Philly Nationals at Franklin Field. The race was won in 14.06 by Chester’s Damira Allen, who won the AAU national title indoors last month in Virginia Beach.
