Eastern’s Natalie Dumas runs all-time 3rd-fastest indoor 800 in South Jersey history!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eastern junior Natalie Dumas ran the 3rd-fastest 800 in South Jersey history Monday evening in a SJTCA meet at Ocean Breeze.

Dumas, the national 400-meter hurdles champ last spring, ran 2:11.42 unpressed, the fastest time by a South Jersey girl in 15 years, since Washington Township’s Megan Tiernan ran 2:09.56 at 2010 Armory Nationals. Tiernan never ran another race.

Dumas had a previous indoor PR of 2:16.80 at the state Group 4 indoor championships at the Bubble last February. She ran 2:14.30 last spring at Group 4 sectionals at Pennsauken. She also ran 53.16 for the flat 400 and 58.32 in the intermediates.

Her time is No. 20 on the all-time state list and fastest by a Camden County girl in 24 year, since Olympian Erin Donohue of Haddonfield ran a hand-timed 2:10.0 at the 2001 Varsity Classic at the Armory.

Lexi Tepper from Cherry Hill East runs 6th-fastest mile time in UMBC history!!!!!!

Cherry Hill East graduate Lexi Tepper, a sophomore at Maryland Baltimore County, broke 5 minutes in the mile for the first time Saturday and recorded the 6th-fastest time in school history.

Tepper ran 4:58.05 and won the mile at the VCU Rams Indoor Invitational at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.

She lowered her PR from 5:02.80 from last indoor season in a meet at the armory. It was also her first individual win on the track as a collegian.

Tepper was out in 75.1, then split 73.3, 76.0 and 73.8, taking the lead from George Mason’s Ella Semple on the final lap.

Sophia Cologer set the UMBC school record of 4:15.87 in the trials of the 2017 IC4A Championships in Boston. Tepper’s time is fastest by a UMBC miler since then.

Tepper’s time is fastest so far this year in the America East.

Glassboro senior Ty Blackman ran a big 3,200 PR and the fastest Group 1 time in New Jersey this year Saturday at the Armory.

Blackman ran 9:27.06 on the way to a 9:30.14 full two-mile at the Refuel with Chocolate Milk Officials Hall of Fame Invitational.

His previous indoor PR for 3,200 was a 9:54.19 at the Bubble last January. His overall best was a 9:42.32 when he placed 2nd to Peyton Shute of Woodbury at the South Jersey Group 1 sectionals at Pennsauken this past June.

Blackman’s time is 5th-fastest on the all-time South Jerey Group 1 indoor list and No. 11 all-time on the Gloucester County list, just a second out of the top 10.

His time is also No. 2 in New Jersey this year, behind Montville senior Alex Pelov, who ran 9:25.22 in a meet last month at Drew University in Madison.

Blackman also PRd with a 4:29.65 for the full mile in a meet at the Ott Center.

Gordon is a four-time state Group 3 champion, three times in cross country and once in track. She was an All-America at 5,000 meters last indoor season with her 17:02.44, 6th-fastest in New Jersey history.

Princeton’s Greg Foster from Lumberton pops #1 long jump in NCAA this year in first competition in nearly a year!!!!!!!!!

Lumberton’s Greg Foster, a Princeton senior, returned to competition Saturday morning after an 11-month layoff and popped the best long jump in NCAA Division 1 this year.

After fouling on his first two attempts at a Navy-Princeton dual meet at the Wesley A. Brown Field House in Annapolis, Md., Foster hit exactly 25 feet on his third attempt and after two more fouls he soared 25-8 1/4 on his final attempt.

That’s just 2 1/2 inches off his indoor PR and less than 6 1/2 inches shy of the school record of 26-3 set 35 years ago by Al Dyer at the 1990 Manhattan Invitational.

It was Foster’s first track meet since February of 2024, when he won the long jump at 25-2, took 2nd in the triple jump at 50-2 and placed 6th in the 60-meter hurdles in 8.22 at the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships at Harvard’s Gordon Track and Tennis Center in Cambridge, Mass.

Foster, a Lawrenceville Prep graduate, has long jump PRs of 26-1 3/4 outdoors – a school record – and 25-10 3/4 indoors. He’s hurdled 7.89 indoors and 14.23 outdoors and tripled 50-7 1/2 outdoors and 50-7 1/2  indoors.

He didn’t triple jump or hurdle Saturday, although he did jump in the 200 and placed 3rd in 21.84 in his first collegiate 200. He ran 22.25 in high school.

According to the TFRRS NCAA Division 1 long jump performance list, Foster’s jump bumped John Baker of Texas A&M [25-5 1/2] for the top spot so far this season.

It was his best jump since he hit that 26-1 3/4 at 2023 outdoor Heps at Franklin Field and the 4th-best of his life.

Here’s a look at Foster’s best jumps [does not include secondary marks within a meet]:

Lafayette’s Julie Greeley from Seneca wins Spartan Invite with near-PR at Ocean Breeze!!!!!!

Seneca graduate Julia Greeley, a senior at Lafayette in Easton, won the pole vault Friday at the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartan Invite at Ocean Breeze.

Greeley won the event with an 11-5 3/4 clearance and then cleared 11-11 3/4 on her first attempt.

Greeley has an indoor PR of 12-5 1/2 from a meet at Moravian in Bethlehem last January. Her outdoor PR is 12-2 from a Lehigh dual meet this past April in Easton.

She’s No. 2 in Lafayette history indoors behind only Elise Buffinton, who cleared 12-11 1/2 in 2014. She’s also second outdoors behind Buffinton, who cleared 12-5 1/2 in both 2013 and 2014.

Greeley ranks 4th in the Patriot League so far this year with a 12-0 3/4 last month in a meet at the Armory.

Lindenwold’s Egypt Bolan clears PR and N.J. high jump #1 5-6 at the Bubble!!!!!!

Lindenwold junior Egypt Bolan moved into the top spot on the New Jersey high jump performance list with a lifetime-best 5-6 clearance Wednesday at the Bubble.

Bolan had a previous PR of 5-5 from last spring at the Don Danser Relays at Rancocas Valley. This is her first indoor season so her previous indoor PR was a 4-10 from a meet at the Ott Center last month.

Since this was a Bubble meet, no field series information is available. Thanks, Bubble. You’re the worst.

Bolan’s 5-6 equals the No. 12 mark on the all-time South Jersey indoor high jump list. According to the MileSplit national database, her mark equals No. 4 in the U.S. so far this indoor season. There are 15 girls who have cleared 5-6.

Winslow girls run 2nd-fastest 4×4 in U.S. this year at Millrose Trials, Willingboro girls also qualify!!!!!!

The Winslow Township girls ran the 2nd-fastest 1,600-meter relay in the U.S. this year Wednesday at the Millrose Games Trials at the Armory.

The Eagles qualified for the scholastic 1,600-meter relay championship at the 117th annual Millrose Gamees back at the Armory on Feb. 8 with a blazing time of 3:50.90.

Although the results list five names, presumably the lineup was freshman Jasmine Jackson, junior Olivia Okaro, sophomore Skyhe Seamon and sophomore Cinniya Robinson. Freshman Amariah Arango is also listed in the results. If she actually ran hopefully someone involved with the Winslow program can let us know.

If Jackson to Okaro to Seamon to Robinson is correct, Jackson led off in 58.22, Okaro split 57.76, Seamon ran 57.03 and Robinson anchored in 57.90.

Winslow’s time is 6th-fastest in South Jersey history and No. 17 on the all-time New Jersey indoor list.

The only faster time by a U.S. high school this year was recorded by an all-star program based in Potomac, Md.

Lawrenceville was 2nd with a 3:55.96 and Willingboro 3rd with a season-best 4:00.13.

It appears that Willingboro also qualified for Millrose. According to the results, “Winner of Each Division (East & West of Hudson & NJ) Qualify Next 3 Fastest Times Also Qualify.”

Guys, punctuation helps sometimes, but if the three-fastest non-winners from all the various girls 4-by-400s qualify, then Lawrenceville and Willingboro would both go as the 2nd- and 3rd-fastest non-winning teams.

The first four names listed for Willingboro are junior Kaila Speight, sophomore Jade Pinder, sophomore Maya Bolden and senior Nester Wea, with junior Aaliyah Robinson and sophomore Trinity Brapoh also listed.

If Speight to Pinder to Bolden to Wea is correct, Speight led off in 58.68, Pinder ran 61.83, Bolden split 61.25 and Wea anchored in 58.39.

Winslow’s Ma’syiah Brawner pops No. 3 triple jump in South Jersey indoor history at the Armory!!!!!!

Winslow junior Ma’syiah Brawner recorded the No. 3 indoor triple jump in South Jersey history Saturday at the Hispanic Games at the Armory.

Brawner sailed 39-4 to win the event by more than a foot over Seannah Parsons of Randolph, who was 2nd at 38-0. Last spring, Brawner won the outdoor Meet of Champions and Parsons was 3rd.

With her 39-4, Brawner moves up to No. 15 in state history. It’s the No. 1 jump this year in New Jersey and No. 13 nationally, according to the MileSplit U.S. database.

Brawner also had a 39-2 in her series, as well as a 38-5 ½ and a 38-4. So she had the four-best jumps of the competition.

The versatile Brawner won both horizontal jumps and placed 2nd in the high jump and 5th in the hurdles at the state Group 3 meet last year.

Brawner extended her own Camden County indoor record and trails only Sophia Curtis of Ocean City and Claudine Smith of Atlantic City on the all-time South Jersey list. Curtis jumped 41-3 ¼ when she placed 3rd at 2023 Boston Nationals, and Smith jumped 40-1 ½ when she placed 5th at 2019 Armory Nationals.

Brawner has an outdoor PR of 40-6 ½ from West Philly Nationals this past June at Franklin Field. That’s No. 4 in South Jersey history outdoors.

Brawner also has PRs of 19-7 1/2 in the long jump, 7.64 in the 55 and 8.45 in the 55-meter hurdles.

WINSLOW GIRLS RACE TO 6TH-FASTEST 800-METER RELAY IN NEW JERSEY HISTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Winslow girls ran the 6th-fastest 800-meter relay in state history Saturday afternoon at the Hispanic Games at the Armory.

Winslow ran 1:39.95, 6th-fastest in the U.S. this year, according to the MileSplit national database.

Armory results are terrible and do not list the names of relay runners, but when the Eagles ran 1:42.97 at the Ott Center last month they used freshman Jasmine Jackson, junior Olivia Okaro, sophomore Skyhe Seamon and junior Leeya Joseph. However, they have a very deep stable of sprinters and they could have used a different lineup for this race.

EDIT: According to social media post by somebody with the Winslow program, the lineup was freshman Jasmine Jackson to junior Olivia Okaro to sophomore Skyhe Seamon to sophomore Cinniya Robinson.

Either way, this practice of not listing relay names in results is awful. Ocean Breeze and the Ott Center always list relay names, and the Armory needs to figure it out because the results platform they use certainly allows for it.

The previous-fastest time in New Jersey this year was Pennsauken’s 1:42.24 earlier in the day at the Ott Center. You can read about that race here.

In any case, this is Winslow’s third time under 1:40, with the first two both coming at Armory Nationals in New York. In 2018, they placed 4th in 1:39.55 with Flora Ahiarakwe, Shakira Dancy, Janeya Hammond and Nylah Perry, and in 2017 they placed 5th in 1:39.94 with Ahiarakwe. Dancy, Tionna Tobias and Iyianna Williams.

That 1:39.55 was the state record until it was broken twice by a North Jersey all-star team.

Willingboro placed 2nd in 1:42.32, 6th-fastest in Burlington County history and 19th on the all-time South Jersey list. Again, names not available  Again, names not available but most likely junior Kaila Speight, sophomore Maya Bolden, junior Jaden Murry and senior Nester Wea. That is 3rd-fastest in New Jersey this year behind Winslow and Pennsauken
