Junior Macy Huber anchored the 3rd-place sprint medley and 4th-place distance medley, and Paul VI placed 5th in the Parochial A division of the state relays at the Bubble Wednesday.
Senior Devin Phillips, freshman McKayla Hutchinson and freshman Jules Jackson joined Huber on the sprint med and freshman Peyton Blake, senior Madison Eli and sophomore Grace Gutowski on the DMR.
Bubble results do not show splits, unfortunately. They have the platform to do it, they just choose not to. Stupid Bubble.
Anyway, Paul VI’s 12:30.53 is fastest by a South Jersey school this winter and 5th-fastest in the state so far. It looks like PVI broke the school record of 12:31.11 set last year at Ocean Breeze by Claire Magee, Giovanna Mantuano, Huber and Shaelan McNally. The sprint medley ran 4:26.01
Magee, Eli, junior Daniela Vogel and Phillips placed 4th in the 1,600-meter relay in 4:12.72, and freshman McKayla McHutchinson, Vogel, Jackson and Eli ran 1:54.05 for 6th in the 800-meter relay.
Paul VI took 2nd in the vole vault relay, with junior Gianna Cianfrani clearing 9-6 and senior Claudia Crabtree 8-0.
