Northern Burlington senior Liliah Gordon placed 2nd Saturday in the USATF Under-20 Cross Country Championships in Lubbock, Texas.
On a windy afternoon at Lubbock Christian University, Gordon ran 21:57 over 6,000 meters and placed 2nd to Zarriel Macchia, a senior at William Floyd High School in Mastic, N.Y.
Macchia and Gordon placed 2nd and 7th at Foot Locker Northeast Regionals in November in Boston and were teammates on the Northeast team at Foot Locker Nationals in San Diego. Macchia ran 21:46.
Gordon is a four-time state Group 3 champion, three times in cross country and once in track. She was an All-America at 5,000 meters last indoor season with her 17:02.44, 6th-fastest in New Jersey history.
