Seneca graduate Julia Greeley, a senior at Lafayette in Easton, won the pole vault Friday at the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartan Invite at Ocean Breeze.
Greeley won the event with an 11-5 3/4 clearance and then cleared 11-11 3/4 on her first attempt.
Greeley has an indoor PR of 12-5 1/2 from a meet at Moravian in Bethlehem last January. Her outdoor PR is 12-2 from a Lehigh dual meet this past April in Easton.
She’s No. 2 in Lafayette history indoors behind only Elise Buffinton, who cleared 12-11 1/2 in 2014. She’s also second outdoors behind Buffinton, who cleared 12-5 1/2 in both 2013 and 2014.
Greeley ranks 4th in the Patriot League so far this year with a 12-0 3/4 last month in a meet at the Armory.
