Unfortunately, series information is not listed in the results, but Harris won the event with a throw of 65-2 ½, 2nd in South Jersey history indoors or outdoors behind only to Bridgeton’s Braheme Days Jr., who threw 70-8 at 2012 Easterns at the Armory.

Harris’s throw is 10th-best in state history indoors and 20th-best in state history on the combined indoor / outdoor list.

He broke his own Gloucester County indoor record of 63-8 ½ from last weekend at the Ott Center in West Philly.

He also broke the overall Gloucester County record of 64-10 ¼ set by Paulsboro’s Jon Kalnas at the 1997 Meet of Champions at South Plainfield.

According to the MileSplit national database, Harris’s mark is 2nd-best in the U.S. this winter. Alex Jackson of Peabody (Mass.) Veterans Memorial High threw 66-6 ¼ at a meet in Boston earlier this month.
