Haddonfield’s remarkable 18:18.4 all-time team average is 2nd-fastest in Holmdel County Park history and the Bulldogs could make a run at the top spot over the next two weeks.

Colts Neck currently has the fastest all-time five-runner average, with Lilly Shapiro in 2021 [17:35], Ashley Higginson in 2006 [17:35], Briana Jackucewicz in 2005 [18:20], Delia Russo in 2018 [18:45] and Colleen Megerle in 2016 [18:59] averaging 18:17.8 on the historic Holmdel 5K layout.

But Haddonfield is less than a second per runner behind, with the all-star lineup of Briana Gess in 2013 [17:45], Olympian Marielle Hall [18:17 in 2009], Vanessa Wright [18:22 in 2004], Olympian Erin Donahue in 1998 [18:27] and Shelby Cain in 2011 [18:41] averaging 18:18.4.

Nobody in South Jersey history is close to Haddonfield’s composite time, although Ocean City, Highland, Cherokee, Kingsway, Cherry Hill East and Shawnee are all undo 19 minutes.
