In a meeting of three of Gloucester County’s top runners, Kingsway sophomore Ryan Duffy edged Clearview senior Ethan Worst and Washington Township senior Hunter Bostwick with all three running sub-17 minutes over 5,000 meters at Cumberland Regional in Upper Deerfield.
Duffy ran 16:52, Worst 16:54 and Bostwick 16:58 in the front of a giant batch meet with over 150 runners.
Team scoring wasn’t kept, but unofficially Woodstown wins 74-78 over Kingsway, followed by Clearview [91] and Highland [100].
Williamstown junior Dominic Burgio placed 4th in 17:08, with Woodstown runners taking three of the next four spots. Senior Cole Lucas was 5th in 17:23, junior Karson Chew 7th in 17:28 and junior Jacob Marino 8th in 17:31.
Also in the top 10 were Delsea junior Matthew Littlehales [6th in 17:27], Washington Township senior Joshua Baseshore [9th in 17:31] and Williamstown junior Logan Pavelik [10th in 17:32].
Also under 18 minutes were Kingswa junior Michael Driscoll [11th in 17:40], Gloucester County Tech sophomore Duke Snyder-Shellito [12th in 17:48], Highland senior Andrew Kellem [13th in 17:49], Highland junior Andrew Dopkin [14th in 17:50], GCIT senior Connor Auge [15th in 17:51], Clearview senior Sun Daneil [16th in 17:52], Kingsway senior Anthony Messina [17th in 17:55], Schalick junior Salvatore Longo [18th in 17:57], Clearview senior Ryne Handley [19th in 17:59] and Clearview junior Tyler Galtman [20th in 17:59].
