Double winners Jonalee Adames, Leeya Joseph, Elyse Simpson, Cara Coppolino lead Sterling girls to 4th Woodbury Relays championship!!!!!!

Junior Jonalee Adames, sophomore Leeya Joseph, junior Elyse Simpson and senior Cara Coppolino were all double winners, and the Sterling girls won their 4th Woodbury Relays title Saturday.

Sterling outscored 2nd-place Willingboro 49-29 to win its first Woodbury team title since winning Group 2 in 2017. Sterling also won Division B in 1985 and 1986.

Adames, Simpson and Coppolino all ran on the winning 4-by-8 and distance medley teams. The DMR team ran 13:01.72 and won the race by about 300 meters, and the 4-by-8 ran 10:07.98 and won by about 225 meter. West Deptford was 2nd in both races.

Junior Isabella Patruno was the other 4-by-8 leg and Joseph was the other DMR leg.

Joseph also anchored the winning 800-meter relay team, which ran 1:47.11. Senior Aisha Garcia, senior Ayanna Brown and sophomore Jessiah Gamble also ran on the 4-by-2.

Joseph also ran on the 2nd-place 4-by-4, which ran 4:06.62. Sophomore Jordan Frazier, Simpson and Brown also ran on the 4-by-4.

Sterling placed 3rd in the sprint medley in 4:43.67 with Garcia, Gamble, freshman Olivia Satchell and junior Amber Wilsey.

Frazier, Brown, freshman Shierra Atkins and sophokmore Jordyn Spearman ran 1:19.98 to place 4th in the shuttle hurdles, and Garcia, Joseph, Frazier and Gamble ran 53.24 for 6th in the 400-meter relay.

Willingboro won the 4-by-100 in 49.70 and 4-by-400 in 4:03.42, with freshman Maya Bolden, junior Nester Wea, sophomore Jaden Murray and sophomore Kaila Speight running on both teams.

Cinnaminson won the shuttle hurdles in 1:10.63 with junior Kellyn Coller, sophomore Jordyn Flunder, junior Naa’ilah Munson and sophomore Shiloh Moore, and Paul VI won the sprint medley in 4:27.02 with junior Anna Marie Brown, sophomore Macy Huber, junior Devin Phillips and sophomore Karla Johnson.
