Sophomore Charlie Owens ran on 1st-place 4-by-4 and 4-by-8 teams and Audubon won its 3rd Woodbury Relays team title in the last five years Saturday.
Audubon outscored Salem by six points, 50-44, to win the Group 2 title. Audubon also won Group 1 in 2018 and 2019. The meet wasn’t held in 2020 and 2021.
Senior Arianna Bittner, sophomore Kylie Tocco and freshman Sophia Rizzo joined Owens on the 4-by-4, which ran 4:08.62, and junior Makenna Ammon, sophomore Riley Fayer and senior Madelin Carter were on the 4-by-8, which ran 10:11.08.
The distance medley featured a nice race between Schalick and Audubon, with Schalick edging Audubon 13:03.37 to 13:06.72. Schalick anchor junior Jordan Hadfield split 5:09.96 and Fayer anchored for Audubon in 5:11.24. Hadfield and Fayer were both medalists in two events at the state indoor Group 1 meet at the Bubble in February.
Freshman Lydia Gravante, freshman Isabella Legatie and Carter ran the first three legs for Audubon on the DMR.
Bitner, junior Elizabeth Butrica, senior Emily Powers and sophomore Micayla Cary ran 1:12.62 to place 4th in the shuttle hurdles, Rizzo, senior Kira Collins, Tocco and sophomore Julianna Laxton ran 51.99 for 4th in the 400-meter relay.
Senior Grace O’Neill ran on both of Schalick’s winning relay teams. The shuttle hurdles ran 1:09.58 with senior Brooke Watt, junior Gabrielle Simonini, O’Neill and senior Katelyn Little, and senior Sophia Longo, senior Ella Shimp, O’Neil and Hadfield ran on the DMR.
Salem won the 800-meter relay in 1:48.04 and sprint medley in 4:14.49, with seniors Karima Davenport-White, Anna Buzby and Rhionna Timmons on both teams. Sophomore Anyzha Williams ran on the 4-by-2 and senior Sairis Jiminez on the sprint med.
Clayton won the 4-by-1 in 50.68 with junior Miyana Johnson, freshman Amor Stevens-Gaines, freshman Jayoni Yates and junior Leila Ortiz.
