A nice 800 PR for UMBC freshman Lexi Tepper from Cherry Hill East in her first outdoor season in Catonsville.
In her first outdoor 800, Tepper ran a PR of 2:16.92 in a meet in Columbia, S.C. She also ran a 1,500 PR of 4:45.78 in a meet in Fairfax, V a.
At Cherry Hill East, Tepper ran 2:17.02 this past spring at South Jersey Group 4 sectionals at Pennsauken. Indoors, she ran 2:20.88 and lowered her mile PR more than 15 seconds to 5:02.80 in a meet at the Armory.
Tepper ran 21:48.6 for 6,000 meters at the NCAA Division 1 Mid-Atlantic Cross Country Championships, and that’s the 9th-fastest 6,000 time in school history.
Next up for Tepper is the Bison Classic at Bucknell in Lewisburg, Pa., on Friday and Saturday.
