Delsea senior Christian Langston, junior Xavier Wyatt, senior Dante McGrenehan and senior Julian Conigliaro won the 800-meter relay at the Ocean Breeze Elite Invitational over the weekend with the 2nd-fastest time in Gloucester County history.
The Crusaders ran 1:29.33 and topped Rancocas Valley in a 1-2 South Jersey finish. R.V. ran 1:30.83 with sophomores Xavier Bancroft, Julian Coppage-Seepersaud and Thomas Howard Jr. and senior Nathan Marvin. R.V. ran slightly faster [1:30.67] at Ocean Breeze last month.
Delsea’s time is No. 13 in South Jersey history, No. 4 in New Jersey and No. 2 in South Jersey, behind Washington Township, which set the Gloucester County record of 1:28.28 at Ocean Breeze back in late December. Delsea broke its 17-year-old school record of 1:30.12 set at 2007 Easterns at the Armory with Panteleon Okoro, Terrance Burns, Melton Diggs and Fred Lavan.
