Eastern freshman Theresa Albertson, junior Samantha Osei-Kyei, junior Annelise Shack and sophomore Natalie Dumas ran the fastest 4-by-8 by a South Jersey school this winter Saturday at the Ocean Breeze Elite Invitational.
Eastern won the race in 9:34.14, 6th-fastest in New Jersey this year.

Osei-Kyei gave Eastern the lead for good with a 2:20.81 split, and Dumas turned a close lead at the final handoff in to a big win in 9:34.14. Shenendehowa High of Clifton Park, N.Y., was 2nd in 9:39.15.
Albertson led off with a 2:27.09 split, and Shack ran 2:29.75 to set up Dumas’s anchor leg.
Eastern broke it’s school-record 9:42.66 set two weeks ago, also at Ocean Breeze. The Vikings’ time is No. 6 in Camden County history.
Dumas [56.72] and Osei-Kyei [57.47] also PR’d in the open 400. Those times are No. 2 and 5 in South Jersey this year and Dumas’s 56.72 is No. 8 in Camden County history and 6th-fastest in New Jersey this year. The full all-time Camden County sub-58 list is below.
