Pitman’s Sebastien Reed notches top-20 finish in CAA meet, helps Monmouth place 4th overall!!!!!!

Monmonth junior Sebastien Reed from Pitman ran an 8K PR and placed 17th out of nearly 100 runners in the Coastal Athletic Association Cross Country Championships Friday.

Reed was Monmouth’s 2nd finisher at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, Va., with a 25:05.8. His previous lifetime-best over 8,000 meters was 25:07.7 at a meet in Boston last September.

Monmouth placed 4th in team scoring with 107 points, behind Stony Brook [36], Northeastern [49] and host William & Mary (77).

Reed set a Monmouth-record 8:10.69 for 3,000 meters in March.

The CAA was known as the Colonial Athletic Association until July.
