Dobbins placed third in both races. In the 60, post-graduate Andre Marcano won in 6.92 and Princeton’s Daniel Afolabi ran 6.98 for second. Post-grad Terrance Livingston won the 300 in 34.19, with Janoi Brown of Maryland-Eastern Shore second in 35.60.
Dobbins held the 60-meter dash record of 6.99, which he set at the NJAC meet last February at the Ocean Breeze Complex on Staten Island. The 300-meter mark of 37.14 was set in 2014 by Bishop Eustace graduate Rob O’Brien at the MAC Classic at Monmouth University in West Long Branch.
In honor of his performance at the Armory, Dobbins was named New Jersey Athletic Conference’s Men’s Track Athlete of the Week.
Dobbins now holds or is part of seven school records at Rutgers-Camden. The 60 and 300 indoors along with legs on the 4-by-160 relay and sprint medley. Outdoors, he holds school records in the 100 (10.70) and 200 (21.68) and as anchor of the 4-by-100 (42.00).
Dobbins ranks fifth in NCAA Division 3 in the 60, according to Direct Athletics. Since the 300 isn’t an NCAA event, there is no national 300 ranking.
